🌳✨New Lidar sensor in iPhones and Ipads!✨📱

I heard a rumor that Apple has changed the Lidar sensor in their phones. 🤔 Curious, I decided to put it to the test!
🔍 I tested the Lidar sensor on iPhone 12 Pro Max, 13 Pro, 14 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16 Pro, iPad Pro 4th gen and iPad Pro M4.
The results were surprising! 🎉 It looks like the Lidar sensor now offers better range than before.
This opens up amazing opportunities for us to add new features to our forest measurement applications! 🌲📏

That’s true, but get an infrared camera and see that the dot pattern they project is much lower resolution in the case of the newer devices than older ones.

I believe you, they have done something with the dot pattern. But the result I get is better, I am using some edge detection on the lidar image from the sensor and I get better results on the new sensor.
