If you read the instructions it’s tells you to use their recommended app to find out where the 5g tower is. Once you find it set the t-mobile device by a window which would be facing the tower. Just by doing that, went from 35 to 40 down to 76 to 84 down. Went from 3 bars to 4 bars. Big difference.

Since day one of getting our T-Mobile Home Internet, with the exception of Ruskin, FL our internet has run great. We stream everything to include TV. It does work quite well in our RV as full-timers. I will never get Starlink based on a huge hardware price and monthly service. We do have redundant MiFi jet packs (T-Mobile and Verizon) but rarely have to use them. We get signal from T-Mobile Home Internet in our truck when we are going down the road as well. Swear by it!

I installed the Ranger Osprey router in my momentum and use the built in Air 360+ with ATT SIM card in it. Reason I went that way was because ATT 4G LTE has coverage everywhere. I was just at a race boon-docking in Perrin TX and it worked like a champ. Forgot to do a speed test though. My T-mobile cell phone with 5G couldn’t even connect. Had to connect to to the Osprey ATT wifi to get it work. Now with that being said I don’t live I’m rig so 4G is plenty for us on race weekends all over north Texas area. If I did I would go starlink for sure. And if you dig deeper you will find that T Mobile 5G is slower in many areas than ATT 4G LTE. This past weekend was a prime example of that. Next race is in Jacksboro Texas and I will do some speed tests there and see how it comes out. And hey, internet testing is exciting!
Oh and when I spoke with T Mobile they told me the same thing. That the device you just picked up could not be mobile in an RV. The Osprey does support T mobile SIM cards but ATT kicks there butt with coverage.

We are part time RV'ers and getting ready to head out from Florida's Gulf Coast (Ian Ground Zero) to cooler northern climes for the summer. Just picked up T-Mobile 5G Gateway. StarLink Roam doesn't make sense for us...yet. We are currently in a 'fringe' 5G area. Good performance so far from the T-Mobile Gateway both inside our cinderblock home and the RV. I definitely noticed better signal and higher speed when moving the Gateway closer to the window in our Alliance Paradigm 385FL. UW 83', Go Pack Go! While TMobile is a ton cheaper than Starlink in regards to up front equipment cost AND monthly fees... your not going to get the upload speeds your wanting/needing, you need to remember "home internet customers" are deprioritized during times of congestion and will notice slower speeds than mobile customers. Thus, you will see potentially see degradation in Teams/Zoom calls as well if the closest tower is overloaded during business hours..
With Starlink, while not still not guaranteed, you should see 10-20Mbps in download speeds. Remember, the upfront cost and the monthly fees will be tax deductible for you as a business expense.
Also, as a backup to the Starlink, you could also take your laptop and run into a place like Starbucks and just connect for the quick uploads.
    Great video!

@@Millers_in_Motion Glad to hear that with starlink. We live in N Ga, and will be traveling more than just "weekend getaways" soon. They announced at the beginning of this year that they have decided to go 100% work from home - so we will be able to take month long trips across the US... so internet will be vital for MS Team calls... which means that I am doing all this research on main system and backup systems for redundancy... to add to this, any travel day that is doing a work day means she must have high speed reliable internet - MS Teams, Cisco VPN, etc... as we are driving down the road... thus I know Class A for sure, and just have to figure out which will be better a load balanced mobile solution or starlink or a combination of the two...

Your test is somewhat bogus. You should have moved the T Mobile unit around in the trailer to find the best location.

If your going to look at it like that then the only person this "test" worked for is us, because well service in massively different from one location to another. Also I did move it around on camera, it was the same for the location we were in. We still have and use it, but the uploads still art as good as Starlink. At the end of the day off you going to work and need internet full time on the road you will need multiple options, these 2 are really strong.
