I have the Brown one and I agree with you... it's the best size and weight for reading. This is my 1st NRSV Translation and I really enjoy it. I have to say I kinda wished they had the black one available when I bought mine. But...but as you guessed they were all sold out I am blessed with the one I have ✍📚💕
I love this Bible. I’ve never had an NRSV or a Bible that included the Apocrypha. Would love to discuss with you the advantages of both the translation & the added books. Well done, again! Love you!!
I’ve got the red edition which comes with blue ribbons- truly a great looking bible. If I had one gripe it would be that the SPCK block isn’t as great as some others- could use a more balanced typeface.
I do like Charfleet style BUT its just not the same quality as the Jongbloed Allans. Do you know if Charfleet is still going to be making Allan bibles ? I don't do Facebook groups anymore so I'm out of the loop a bit. That is a nice book block and layout very cool having the Apocrypha for those who would like them for biblical study. .
This is so beautifully made! I'm sorry that my eyes get so distracted by center-column references, because otherwise I love everything about this. (But I wonder if the dotted line would make a difference. Too bad for me that it's sold out.) The speckled edge is so great, and even the ribbon color is just right! NRSV is my preferred version, and mine is worn out. (Would you be interested in selling this one?)
Want this bible so bad. Been waiting for Allan to release it again and have reached out to them several times but don’t think they will. Any idea where i could find one? I’d be willing to pay good money haha.
Beautiful review. I myself am in hunt for one, but Allan currently does not have it on sale. Just got an purple NASB though-from them. Makes my Allan numbers up to seven. Will cherish to add this as number eight, if available! Many thanks for this crisp review.
I so glad that I scored one of those.

I like the brown one a lot, too!
I debated trying to find this Bible but ultimately I went with the Cambridge reference NRSV with Apocrypha and am very happy.
@@1611KJV-yc7zy thanks for the heads up definitely will picked it up if I see it.
I have it. It is a great bible.
Great review thanks Tim. I have one of these in brown goatskin! Like you, I love the R L Allan Bibles.
Thanks, Philip! Such great Bibles!

I think I know someone who can hook you up, Mom! Let's chat!

Thanks for sharing, Aaron. You might check to the Cambridge editions. They are a little more "classic" when it comes to the typeface.
I’m looking forward to the new Allan NRSVs coming out. I was told they will be here late 2022 or early 2023.
No way! That's good to hear!

I've seen a few negative comments online about Charfleet, but I have several of them and they are all fantastic.
Looks like a beautiful Bible. Loved the edging
It is indeed! Very cool.
So where can i purchase this Bible ?
Does it have the Apocrypha books ?
Yes, it does!

I'm not interested in selling, but you should join some of the FB groups for buying Bibles. I see these pop up every few weeks.

They have some instock at the moment.

You're welcome. I see these pop up every few weeks in the FB groups. Hope you find one soon!
Hey Tim, did Allen make this speckled edition in ESV or NKJV?
They made speckled ESV NC1s a couple months ago, but they sold out rather quickly. You might be able to mind them gently used on FB Marketplace.
@@timwildsmith I’ll keep my eyes peeled, I appreciate it!!
Do you keep all bibles shown?
Nope, but I keep a lot of them!
You are using a corrupted version, definitely not the word of God.
😳
@@timwildsmith glad to be of help.
Yeah, because we all know God speaks the queen’s English…
