I saw this as an advertisement on another video and totally forgot about the video I was intending to see... this captivated me completely. You are unbelievably gifted.
Wow.... that's crazy good. Kudos from a cellist, a teacher with years of experience, someone who owns a looper and aspires to be as good as you! What a wonderful gift to give Julia. :)
This is freaking sweet man. I mean, this is the epidemic of awesomeness. I would like to know more about your musical style and maybe get to do a collaboration with some liquid D&B or something of that sort. Let me know. Nice track, if it were my choice, i would get you recorded.
This is kinda my soundtrack for procrastination. When I should be making study guides, that is. Again, thanks Gabers. -Julia. P.S. you should write a song for yo girl
......? Dude, this is incredible stuff. This kid is obviously really talented and without question sounds like a real musician. No need to be hateful- besides, it makes you look bad. :P
Hi Everyone, as I will be posting on all of my videos, I am so happy to announce that ZETA Violins, the maker of the violin in this video, has been brought back to life and is now making and selling NEW instruments! Please visit zetaviolins.com and check out the beautiful new violins they are making. As a long-time player of these violins, and now a Zeta Artist, I whole-heartedly and unreservedly recommend their violins. These are the best sounding and most beautiful electric violins on the market, and I'm so glad they're back in business, better than ever.
I just love this violin, can't really understand why ZETA went bankrupt. In my opinion there is no electric violin better then ZETA,any violin compared with it falls flat.Nice song by the way, kudos from Romania Gabe.
Good composition and improvisation. The reverbed sound sounds like Ponty's spacey sound. I love that sound, and it's a nice effect that you explode and expand in the end with the improvisation. But in the beginning the arpeggiated chords shouldn't stand out so much. They are to "stand-outs", especially the top notes of the arpeggio (sometimes on the d-string, sometimes the a-string). You should try to make a layer floating to back up the rest. PS: Try Kreutzer Etudes for string-crossing.
Gabedaddy! This is so amazing!! I love it! Did your mom use a video camera or did she just hook it up to your computer and then used iMovie? And I already know that you used iMovie to edit this baby, right?
Hi! First off, congratulations, this was an awesome vid. Is there any chance you can give me a list of the equipment you used for this? I noticed you used a couple of pedals and an interface?? I'm new to this and looking for some advice from a fellow violinist. take care!!
Hi! I'm a jazz violinist as well. Nice lick at 2:42. How did you approach that lick? It sounds like your going for a Gm9 with the B natural thrown in there. Very cool. Check out my band the Felt Hat String Band.
yeah, you heard it from my man kurt rosenfinkel. A real musician doesnt get pissed just because people dont like his stuff and then delete his comments. Maybe you should give up your violin so someone else can use it.

You put me so much in mind of Ponty, and to be able to play on a violin from him - this is so amazing.
Young man you are out standing, I can see you at the next level..

Do you know Jean-Luc Ponty? Your improvisation kind of reminded me of him, a great jazz-fusion violinist, maybe already known to you.
