Just found this. Lots of memories, the Odeon at Lewisham where I would go to Saturday Morning pictures for a 'tanner'!
Lived in Blackheath Village in the late 50's and early 60's, before moving to New Cross, Secondary school at Eltham and first job with Woolwich Borough Council.
Late teen years spent socialising in Lewisham (The Anchor and Roebuck pubs), and greyhound racing at Catford, New Cross and Charlton dog tracks with regular games of snooker above Burtons in Lewisham. And of course, Saturday afternoons at The Valley. Yup, I know it all so well.

Lived for a few years in a shop in birds nest hollow.
My three sisters in a box room no furniture just mattresses on the floor, three older boys in another room, and my parents. The bath was in the kitchen when we moved in.
But despite that we were happy raking round the streets and kicking a ball on the common.
Before that we were 10 year's in Ennis Rd.

Wow, i dont even know why this popped up. After divorcing my dad we moved in with my Auntie Pat and uncle MIke at Kirk Lane Plumstead for (I'm guessing) a couple of years. Had my first year of school at Plumstead - all I can remember was the school had a good vibe. I've tried to Google it on maps but it looks like its been demolished, either that or my memory is wrong. We didnt have a lot of money but I remember Uncle Mike would treat us to a cake from shop in Plumstead common rd. He was a Charlton fan and worked at Fords in Dagenham. All that would be from 1959 to '61 for me, as around that time Mum moved us up to Rochdale. I was born in 1954.
What a lovely snapshot of back then. All looks so much more good and positive and not as crowded.
Nice one, made my day. Martin

I lived in Palmerston Cresent, just off Bird's Nest Hollow, I lived there from 1963 to 1969, in the first house next to the pub, I was 7 when we moved out, my dad worked at Beasley's, I seem to remember they were pulling the first 10 (more or less) houses down, hence the reason we moved, thanks for the video, I have lots of happy memories living and playing there.
