I went to Carnegie Jr high in Carson. I remember Booyah Tribe performed at a Nooner concert. Dr. Laul, if I spelt his name correctly, was the principal then and it was his idea to have students earn a posse-buck for good behavior. A student back in the mid 80's with a posse-buck could buy snacks or enter a noontime concert performed by a DJ or a musical group. That day was a really awesome performance and I got to meet local artist like BooyahTribe. RIP and much love!
