I'm a 53 year old rocker and listen to rockmusic since the ags of 10. Boo yaa tribe is probaly the only rap group that i'm a fanboy of. See them two times live. First time was after the release of their first album. They came on stage and played with real instruments not only sampels and a dj. They performed their asses off on stage with a lot of cool dance moves and this big huge samoans had the best and smoothest backing vocals you can imagine. After their song another body murdered with faith no more they made a complet rap/rock album on their own. They came to germany to promot it and again they played it live on stage with real instruments. Man this was so heavy. I know that they are real gangsters somtines bodyguards but for me they are also real musicians. I like also the style of their outfits. Even today i blast their albums to my car speakers. Yupp, they used to play in a Funk band around Los Angeles before they ever rapped, a long time ago, late 70s early 80s. They also were a dance crew around that time. They're real musicians and dancers, real hip hop not just rappers.
Crazy, I know Boo Yaa from the aerospace industry. My family knows them through other people. I've been to a few weddings with these guys. Ultra cool. I see Jesse James in the video. I know Jesse. Very interesting connection for me. I have ALWAYS respected this family. Not a blood yet these are just good, great people and supremely talented. Such nice people. My last memory of them is backstage at a BODY COUNT show and them dancing with people. I didn't see BODY COUNT yet I got to see BOO YAA dance challenging people backstage. IT WAS FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!!!!
