[Intro: Eminem]
Woo-hoo! laughs
Guess who's back?!
Mommy, we're home!
Say hello to my little friends
DJ Muggs, Soul Assassins, Cypress Hill
Everybody, put your hands where my eyes can see!
Yo
Everywhere we go people know we roll deep as fuck
Forty, fifty Samoans, they knowin' when D-Bo was
50, Tweezy, Obie, there won't be no ho in us
They pop shit like they gonna do shit but no one does
From New York down to Texas, back up to Los Angeles
We changed the way we move, so man up if you can't adjust
You may end up getting rushed by too many to handle us (Ha)
It's funny, I guess money does have its advantages
And it isn't that we just think that we can't be touched
It's not like we're just feeling ourselves that much, it's just
That if someone ever does put us in the clutch
We just know that y'all ain't gon' be the one who's gon' do it
'Cause first of all you're pussy and everybody can see that
You fuck around, get caught in a spot that you shouldn't be at
That you got no business being in, we ain't even gon' be in it
No one's gonna hear nothing, no one's gonna see this shit
And they'll be in and up out of it, them boys is 'bout it, 'bout it
The noise from clips and rounds be drowned out by the crowd
And you'll be laying on the ground getting trampled by people dancing
'Til the club closes, and clears out, and that's when they see you flattened
Nobody saw it happen, all 'cause your jaws are flapping
And you couldn't stop yapping and took it past rapping
It ain't about the music no more, it's 'bout trying to show off
And it feels like any minute the bomb is about to go off
Shit's about to change, 'cause we ain't playin' no games
We ain't budgin', neither are they, we ain't sayin' no names
Shit just ain't the same when AK's get to sprayin'
"Hip-hop is in a state of 9-1-1"
It ain't about hip-hop, 'cause those days are gone
It ain't about tryna rip shots to get props no more
It's about trying not to get popped, and get dropped to the floor
'Cause "Hip-hop is in a state of 9-1-1"
Took my strap off my holster, 'cause shit is getting serious
All theses drugs you be fucking with make you delirious
Thinking you coming with heat, yo son, I'm curious
How long are you gonna hate us and judge us and jury us?
Some people can never fade us, that make us so furious
Mistake us for fakers, homie we greater and glorious
We living for real and others just making the stories up
Illusions are broken, so live it up, you corny fucks
If you take a fucking minute to think about what you done
When you stood against the gangster who live and die by the gun
Caught a hot one, sprayin' you bitches 'til there was none
I'm like a rolling stone homie, I got you under my thumb
You silly little bitches can end up right up in ditches
We cut you and give you stitches for envyin' all our riches
The game's just like a midget, you clockin' a small digit
Dealing with the Giant Goliath, people that's how we live it, c'mon
Shit's about to change, 'cause we ain't playin' no games
We ain't budgin', neither are they, we ain't sayin' no names
Shit just ain't the same when AK's get to sprayin'
"Hip-hop is in a state of 9-1-1"
It ain't about hip-hop, 'cause those days are gone
It ain't about tryna rip shots to get props no more
It's about trying not to get popped, and get dropped to the floor
'Cause "Hip-hop is in a state of 9-1-1"
Uh, Ganxsta, Ganxsta who come to pay you a visit
On the shit you call hip-hop, this function is where did it
When I put it in motion, my focus is getting branded
My appetite for destruction is blasted because I said it
Got you stumbling for cover, this music dying in numbers
But you wouldn't pause and wonder, admitting it's all glamour
When you enter the business you thinking you running shit
You witness that funny shit, your bitches they ain't shit!
We gangstas we blast first, ask questions later
All these imitators parading like they some players
Tryna save hip-hop the task is something greater
'Cause we old fashioned coded with loyalty motivators
Get caught, I'm not telling, or more like killing not caring
I'm riding a gangsta feeling, no fearing when gangstas dying
I'm in a full circle with homies that's s'posed to bleed
On an 8 Mile mission with Cypress and O.G.'s
Shit's about to change, 'cause we ain't playin' no games
We ain't budgin', neither are they, we ain't sayin' no names
Shit just ain't the same when AK's get to sprayin'
"Hip-hop is in a state of 9-1-1"
It ain't about hip-hop, 'cause those days are gone
It ain't about tryna rip shots to get props no more
It's about trying not to get popped, and get dropped to the floor
'Cause "Hip-hop is in a state of 9-1-1"

Damn they all killed this joint. It's cool knowing the backstory behind this song too.
What's the back story? That they protected Eminem?
@@seyioyetade yeah they protected him for some Crypts who were trying to extort him. His feature in this song was part of his payment to them.
Funny joker

Em went hard on this for real. Talking that shit is when he sounds the best.
Samoans in general are some of the hardest, toughest, roughest, and durable people yeah
I mean they're like 240 on average just by existing? Not gonna even try. They can be friendly and still be intimidating

@@EGarza-mk2mk They are gentle giants and have a strong love for family cuz most were raised by a village. But when it’s time to scrap, they SCRAP. Got a lot of love for them

You forgot to mention that Samoans as well as all our Polynesian brothers are all friendly and lovely people.
As a Mexican from Los Angeles,I can tell you that I feel closer to all my Samoan homies at times. It’s crazy but they treat you like family .
I had one as my neighbor and would offer me food everyday.
You know who you are Big Pimp

No doubt, when I lived in San Diego, my Samoan and Mexican neighbors treated us like family and fed us well! How I miss the West Coast!
damn i would love to try some samoan food. Sadly it's not easy find some here.
Samoans are legit the best people on this planet. Their pendulum swings so drastically. One end, they'll rip your head off barehanded for disrespect. Other end, literally give you their shirt off their back, feed and protect you. We need more Samoans

bro his verse is insane wtf
bruh.... like sure his flow is decent .... BUT the guy rhymes
serious with delirious with curious with glorius with CURIOUS AGAIN
then
bitches with ditches with stitches with riches
thats insane i guess......
I'm sorry but that shit was mid af lol. Rhyming bitches/stitches/riches was like a staple in literally EVERY freestyle from kids w no bars, and that was like... way back in the 90s . this is a *written* and over a decade later... he didn't even put it together in a clever or interesting way lmao. I'll give him his legend status and all that, but let's not pretend these aren't playschool bars
B-Reals flow matches em’s bar for bar on this track a whole album with B-Real and em would be sick💯💯💯
I cannot believe I didn't notice this, b-real comes in and I was like...this does not sound like a cadence he'd use. Makes so much sense now 🤣
It's Busta Rhymes verse 🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I first remember Boo-ya Tribe from way back on the Judgement Night soundtrack. Still banging in 2023!
That was my intro to Boo Yaa Tribe too, ridiculously good soundtrack.
Oh that beat. That flow. Woooo 🔥

Samoans have the biggest heart ! But don’t get them mad!
2003 was so wild this was on the radio
2003 was the start of beginning of the emd
@@adamwilliams5492 that's pretty accurate
And somehow everyone got soft idk what happened everyone was tough and couldnt be offended by anything then after about 2010 shit went sideways
Same here with it being on the radio
@@CoryCDS yeah, I would say 2010 was the shift because In 2009 on the radio, 97.5 in Vegas they were just like, “lady Gaga is a man!! There’s video of it!!!” Dog, for 7 years I thought lady Gaga was a man because of this….
I know that Eminem only did this track with Boo-Yah Tribe for their protection against West coast crips, but I've gotta admit they actually did well for trying to hang with Em! That's no easy feat.
Ngl there's a solid chance he assisted with some bars. He ain't gunna let them look bad when they did him a solid like that. And I'm sure they'd accept it knowing how top tier he is with lyricism.

Both Em and B-Real are most excellent on features.
I got to meet BReal , Sen Dog, Bobo and DJ Lord December 23. I took my partner to a pre show VIP meet n greet package.Hes loved Cypress Hill since he was 14 and he's 49 now, but 48 the date of the show. I am never EVER usually phased by celebrity status and plus he was the bigger Hill fan. .but my edibles kicked in at exactly the WRONG time and I was like a bumbling freak when it was my turn to go beyond the curtain 🤣 I just remember shaking all their hands (still very COVID conscious near to 2024, these guys) and I've no idea what I said at all in the first few moments, I was SO self conscious and I was paranoid as F***. In fact I only have one recollection of what I definitely said and it was to BReal when lining up for the photo "I'm so sorry if I'm acting weird, the edibles JUST kicked in at the wrong damn time" BReal seemed to notice my shaky anxiety and he reacted to me with this knowing smile but out of all of them he was the most approachable, Tbh the other guys were just more kinda unapproachable ..to me that is, stoned 🤣 I said to B, "umm where do you want me to stand" (for the photo) and he leaned down to me and dropped his shades so I could see his eyes and he said really reassuringly "Sweetheart you stand anywhere you feel comfortable"
In every photo, in the single ones and in the couple ones they let us take too, I am literally IN B's personal space 😂😂😂 it's SO obvious 🤣 Later on, I had to leave in the middle of IceCubes set because I am actually chronically ill so the edibles were more for pain relief than getting high but Cypress Hill coukd easily headlined the High Rollers Tour. They totally stole the show imo and in many others too. Think the problem was, we were so hyped and enjoying the shit out of Cypress Hills set that when Cube came on the vibe totally shifted (as it would when you think of the two artists) His west coast swagger just kinda bored me a bit if I'm honest. He's still savage to listen to don't get me wrong. I just don't think the bill was the right way around 😂 I would totally go see Cypress Hill on their own. Everyone was on their feet in the seating sections. The crowd was going mental. It was epic.

Samoans are everywhere their loyalty is so real they call the blood and everything is settled with one phone called
I was given a mix-tape by a HUGE Maori guy at a club one night back in 2003 after we smoked a joint together outside. I got home and this was the first track on that tape. I couldn't believe what i was hearing! I played it to everyone i knew for the next few months and everyone was blown away. I made copies for friends because it was nowhere else to be found and we would try and figure out if it was even real or not or whether it had somehow mixed and never released.
I never saw that big Maori guy ever again but it always made me wonder just how the hell he got his hands on it so early before release!

Booyah tribe most hardcore, ruthless, mellow, and fair cliq around.
They honest, true, loyal an fair MF’ers.
They treat everyone with respect and love unless you come at them different than your checked REAL quick.
I’ve seen 3 boohyahs at an underground rap battle get DOWN in 2000, might of been 2001 can’t remember.
Anyways there were about 8-10 blacks banging on em and anyone in the presence. Booyah tribe knew what time it was and they triangled up.
Back to back to back, keeping the gap closed so they only had to worry about front facing combat instead of attacks from behind.
They formed, hands up and started bombing on MFers, sleeping em. One dude after another. Prob about 10-12 that tried jumping em. Slept everyone.
Straight bombers these homeboys are; hit like a tank and you can’t knock these homeboys out.. their skulls are bricks…
