My 2 cents: It seldom happens that I find a pedal as outstanding as was the case with the MOOD MKII by chase bliss. This one is a great ambient machine full of rich textures, experimental sounds and happy accidents. But it also shines when used subtly. tbh. I’ve shied away from it for quite a while due to the hype around it. But it certainly lives up to it. Inspiring little gem that’s not only cool for DAW-less setups but can also add exciting new flavors to a DAW-based studio.
I’ve been thinking of a pedal for quite a while now. To pair with my Matriarch, and my other hardware synths. Thought of a Microcosm. Have also thought of one of the Chase Bliss pedals. The Mood seems like a good candidate. I’m also wondering whether I should just use effects plugins in my DAW to reproduce what the pedals can do. It’s more work, bit trickier to set up the kind of effects these pedals can deliver. What do you think? I’m into ambient, but also other forms of music.
I don't know the Microcosm but it seems to be cool, too. Software can be an alternative and I guess you can replace lot of what external hardware does. But it is very hard to get a similar playful experience like with what you get from an external effects pedal. @@aquaticborealis4877
@@limbicbits Yeah, the set up of effects can be a bit tedious in a DAW. So this is why I’ve also shied away from devices like the Zoia. That’s also a fair bit of set up, and not as immediate.
Entropy is my favourite take, too, but I've noticed that after already uploading the video. Being lazy sometimes I've just kept it that way and am happy now, that at least one made it to the final sequence ;)

Always beautiful and well presented demo!
Thanks!

Nope! I discovered that feature later, to be honest.
