1 of my 3 parcels sent to USA through Registered Mail got lost in transit (possibly due to lack of tracking from USPS) for some unknown reason. However I still need to confirm with SingPost & USPS to check whether it's really lost in transit, because I may have to make a claim if necessary. However, for the other 2 it was already delivered to the recipients even though USPS did not track them for some reason. Though they stated it as what it is as I could believe their words fortunately. So yeah Qxpress is a better option than SingPost, this month I had 2 parcels sent by Qxpress to the USA it was delivered to the 2 recipients directly to a parcel locker/doorstep.
just use Qxpress for both Canada and USA. dont bother with Singpost direct with these 2 countries. Also, Singpost CS is bad.... like REALLY bad. Qxpress CS at least looks at the enquiry and responds promptly. I will be doing a follow up vide next year about this matter as i gather all the info. appreciate the updates on your end.
Heard rumours that Registered Mail is kind of untraceable when it reaches to 2 Asian countries, namely South Korea & Indonesia. Cause once it reaches to the country both country's posts doesn't seem to track it at all. Have seen some posts through forums, that Registered Mail sent to Indonesia or even South Korea will not be trackable once it arrives at the destination post. Do you have any experiences with items shipped there through SingPost at all? But I know Qxpress shouldn't be an issue though they need some sort of additional identification in order to proceed with the pickup & delivery. Had shipped once to Indonesia above 2kg through SingPost's SpeedPost Priority service via Qxpress, no issues at all, but tax is applicable for any items at any value in Indonesia so it's a bit problematic I can say.
South Korea go use Qxpress. The network use is CJ logistics. And it’s way faster and cheaper. Indonesia yes hit or miss, even for Qxpress which uses singpost E-pac service. Again, priority will always be Qxpress. Until it doesn’t gets sent I will block that country. Recent country I blocked was Ireland. The parcel just got returned after spending less than a day at that country. No idea why. Luckily I use Qxpress it got returned to me free. If it was Speedpost I will have to pay the return cost. Another reason why I will choose Qxpress versus speedpost.
@@ASingaporeChipmunk Shipped to Ireland before, apparently the recipient did not put a proper address, but still got delivered according to the tracking though the item I sent was considered not dangerous I believe. Sometimes it's due to their customs restricting tariff codes that cannot be shipped to the country, therefore this is likely one of the reasons why it was returned. But still you have to check with SingPost/Qxpress on why was it returned for that item you sent to Ireland and also try to contact An Post for an enquiry to see why it was returned to sender.
@@KrisDreemurrYT fair enough. Atm gonna leave it as one country I not sending. Because the buyer wasn’t even helpful saying his address was ok. And I have sent to Ireland before no issues. Until recently. Some times it just the way it is, it is ok until it isn’t. Sigh.
@@ASingaporeChipmunk Well had an update from SingPost that one of my Registered Mail items was lost in transit. It reached USA, but then either the US customs or USPS lost it and my recipient never got the item at all. Sigh. This is why I will use Qxpress to ship to the 36 destinations they serve to prevent any issues like these happening in the future. Also, I think it's time to adjust the shipping rates for your items you sell online since Qxpress has recently adjusted them.

Registered service tracking for some countries such as USPS is not available because some postal services such as USPS have suppressed it... there is nothing special about Qxpress showing tracking all the way. Qxpress uses SingPost ePac which is a completely different thing from registered service. I have a link to the USPS explanation for this but UA-cam is deleting my comment if you want to know...
@@ASingaporeChipmunk Yea I know tracking is important on eBay because I am a seller too... anyway UA-cam keeps deleting my comment but are you able to see them backend? Trying to let you read the USPS explanation for this... it was explained in a 2015 bulletin when the changes were made and online tracking started to get suppressed
Just an excerpt, "Effective October 1, 2015, the Postal Service will no longer offer visibility for international import Registered Mail items unless International Posts have upgraded to offer their customers U.S. Postal Service products that come with visibility.", and ePac is one of the alternatives recommended by USPS for detailed tracking which is why you are getting full tracking with Qxpress.
Actually, somehow out of the many registered articles I sent out last year, there were one or two which magically showed the full tracking on USPS website (probably due to some system bug that removed the suppressed information) so I believe the tracking does work and as USPS said, it is simply "suppressed" to prevent online tracking by customers.
Hey yes I’ve had this issue too when I sent an eBay sale (a CPU) to Canada (registered mail, this was pre-qxpress days). Freaked me out if it didn’t get there, there wasn’t signature confirmation (supposed to be a paid option with registered mail) nor any usable tracking. Really didn’t help that postage rates are insane out of SG.
Hi, I am about to send an eBay item to Australia. From your experience, does SingPost shows full tracking to doorstep for Australia? Or same result as US and Canada where it stops tracking when it reaches the destination country. Another question is that is it a good idea to post the item at Changi Airport post office? Thanks! - An eBay newbie
Hi, an Etsy seller here. I am afraid it doesn't unfortunately, all registered inbound parcels sent to Australia are not trackable in most cases. It's the same result as US & Canada parcels. I would recommend you to use Qxpress next time as there is full tracking to Australia, USA & Canada. Usually Qxpress hands it over to SingPost through their ePAC service where the difference is that tracking letter starts with "L", not like registered mail where it starts with "R". In my case which I have sold items on Etsy I got 3 registered parcels sent through USA (pre-Qxpress days), 2 of them didn't get through because USPS said it was not tendered by them (Update: 1 of it was already delivered with the evidence given on the POD), but 1 of them managed to as it was delivered already and signed according to them. So yeah I definitely have to make a claim of it being lost because my recipients seem to have never received the items if necessary, but if all of them ended up being delivered I will probably not take this issue further. For the post office, it really depends on where you live. Just go to the nearest one in your area would do. Don't need to go that far unless your workplace is further you can drop off at the post office that is nearest to it. I have since switched to Qxpress since I realised the registered tracking from SingPost does not work at the destination, but of course Qxpress is limited to certain countries only, so for others you may want to consider either shipping by registered mail or don't ship there at all, as some countries may have strict rules on taxing & everything.
UPDATE: Parcel was eventually delivered as confirmed by the buyer. But SingPost still shows tracking until it reaches the destination post. This is a huge problem when us "ebayers" are trying to ship our sold items with ease. SingPost should follow USPS, Royal Mail, AUPost, etc. where it shows tracking to doorstep. I'm very disappointed with our national postage carrier and lots of improvements are needed especially tracking.
Hi thank you for this video! Will move to qxpress too. Can i check with you if Singpost has cause you any lost packages before based on your experience? Did they refund you the cost of goods?
I had 3 parcels sent to the USA when I was selling through Etsy, but apparently SingPost Registered tracking kind of does not work at the destination. (It shows "Arrival at Destination Post" and the tracking will get stuck there for like forever) But of course this happened to my 3 buyers and none of them seem to have got back to me regarding the tracking being insufficient. I have contacted SingPost and USPS about these 3 articles, but apparently 1 was already delivered according to USPS' Missing Mail Department but no exact date of the delivery was given so I am asking them when it was delivered, still waiting for the other 2 for an outcome. But for SingPost usually needs wait up to 60 days for a reply from the destination post. (USPS missing mail department can apparently see the tracking which I have no idea why but not the sender nor the recipient.) I have since switched to Qxpress ever since this happened to me. One article I sent through using Qxpress, the tracking actually indicates delivered according to both SingPost and USPS tracking, so therefore I think Qxpress is better for a lot of reasons. I noticed that parcels sent through Australia won't probably be trackable at all as Australia Post does not track them at all. Unless maybe using SpeedPost (which is very expensive of course) it is probably sort of trackable? Not sure for Australia though. Hopefully they don't partner with DHL or some sort. Still, cheapest is to use SingPost ePac service through the Qxpress booking. Overall, it's best to use Qxpress for Australia, Canada & USA if you are sending there as the tracking works on that destination. (I have sent 1 parcel and another to the same recipient in Australia using Qxpress (which they use SingPost ePac), one of them has been delivered already and another one is still in transit which might be delivered by next week.)
pls use Qxpress going forward. and if a country is not available with Qxpress, then maybe you should not send to that country. any case glad we are on the same boat on this issue.
@@ASingaporeChipmunk Usually sometimes registered tracking still works in that certain destination through SingPost Registered Service which I have sent one to Ireland before, An Post was able to track the item and it was delivered within 20 days later according to SingPost and An Post's tracking, but idk why it took so long to finally reach to the recipient in Ireland but I believe it is due to flight delays/congestions I guess. I believe some other countries the registered tracking may work, but some may not as they do not have the budget to support it.

So I believe the other 2 I assume are probably lost and never even reached both recipients. Neither my recipients have told me anything about it either. Really dissatisfied with SingPost and USPS lack of tracking for registered parcels bound for USA. Will still use Qxpress since at least their tracking for USPS works compared to registered mail. And I currently have two parcels being sent for 2 recipients at the destination, so it should be able to get through them.
Another update: One of the 2nd of my 3 packages I sent by Registered mail on 14th June 2022, was already delivered on 27th June 2022 to the recipient according to SingPost's investigation with USPS regarding the article, and it even showed the POD as well. Another one I am actually still awaiting for it's outcome. However USPS Customer Service claimed that my parcel was not tendered to them according to them on Twitter. Like what in the world are they saying? I mean it should be handled by USPS if sent to the USA, not handled by DHL or any other courier unless SpeedPost is used, then they partner with DHL for it.
