Most Valuable Kennedy Half Dollars To Look Out For
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 бер 2018
- Type: Kennedy Half Dollar
Year: 1964
Mint Mark: No mint mark
Face Value: 0.50 USD
Total Produced: 273,304,000
Silver Content: 90%
Silver Weight: .3617 oz.
Silver Melt: $5.91
Value: As a rough estimate of this coins value you can assume this coin in average condition will be valued at somewhere around $10, while one in certified mint state (MS+) condition could bring as much as $90 at auction. This price does not reference any standard coin grading scale. So when we say average, we mean in a similar condition to other coins issued in 1964, and mint state meaning it is certified MS+ by one of the top coin grading companies.
Additional Info: 1964 was the first and only year that the Kennedy Half Dollar was minted in 90% silver. This coin was minted after his assassination, and some of the 1964 proofs have the Accented Hair. Kennedys wife requested the changes be made so that his hair would look better. Those are valued at between $100 and $900 depending on the condition and the market. Key date. High value listed would be for a coin in perfect condition, certified, and never having seen circulation.
Just found you. Subscribed and look forward to more. Good job !
I’m currently in Dominican Republic, and my mother received one of these dated in 1969 as change when buying something. She gave it to me yesterday. I’ll save it in a safe place.
So I just found a 1971 w D on neck line but it certainly has copper on it, thoughts
That's 40% silver.
As a tips I received 5 2$ bils from the sixties... Took them to a mint collector, he paid 200$ for each of them, told me his grandfather, who had passed away that month, started the business we were at with A single Two dollar bill making them extra valuable to him as his daughter was pregnant with twins.... I cried, he cried... I came back a few days later with a two dollar bill cake & a six-pack of coldies... He became a grandfather, two boys... 🖤

I roll seach half dollars weekly as I am able to order from my bank. Last week I noticed a larger coin within the bank wrapping. Thinking it would be some kind of token perhaps. I was stunned when I opened the roll and it was an 1830 capped bust ! And in XF condition! Took it to my local coin dealer who offered $300 for it. I didn't sell. You never know what you might find when roll searching!
Watching this video I realized I have the 1964 Kennedy half uncirculated just like the one you showing here, however it is
in cased in acrylic paper weight, took it my safety deposit box..
Good info thanks
Great presentation.
I just stumbled onto your videos. I will be watching them from now on. You give a lot of good information on coins. Where can I get a free coin value book? A good website will be great too.

I have a denver 1971 barely looks circulated found it in my drawer as i am a Customer.servoce rep amd decided to buy the silver half dollar glad to see this i have to get it graded fingers crossed
I didn't remember l had a 1971 Kennedy coin until l checked after watching you video. I have a few dozen Kennedy's my mother gave me with dates from 64 to 74. I may have one 64 accented hair half dollar, but l haven't had it authenticated.
Just added half dollars to my collection.
Thanks for the video. A suggestion, you may want to use a sharp pointer pen or knife when pointing out details on the coin. Your finger can not really show us locations of what you are pointing too. Thanks.
jk1776 io ho gusta moneta1971 1974
Someone gave one at my job, usually happens around Christmas for some reason. I’ll try to collect tomorrow 😭 I forgot to exchange it
Loomis is taking out the silver in all there boxes
Thank you!
I went to several banks for half dollar Kennedy rolls, and they told me they had none. I did get a few loose half dollars including 1969 Kennedy coin with some doubling on it.
Me too, I got mine from a neighborhood store
Where can i find a guide/chart to print out for half dollar errors or valuble halfs? thanks
Holy crap! I think I have a 1971 Denver mint!!! Dot at the bottom of the neck is quite obvious. Even the texture in the hair is still pronounced. Certainly circulated, and it sat at the bottom of my Dad's penny jar for a LONG time now. But when you look at the edge....it seems more silver than copper. A very slight copper layer.....
Could be a major condition issue.....there is also a pronounced black "speck" exactly at the corner of the jawline on Kenneys head....😭
Thank you for telling me that was good information I have 1
Thanks 👍
My grandma just gave me an old coin college from my great uncle who passed away who collected coins worth thousands of dollars. She gave me a bag of half dollars to look through today and every single coin has a planchet on it as well as a 1971 Denver with a planchet. I need help talking to someone who knows more about this stuff
Try a gold silver shop they have test gun
I have a 1971 half dollar with a D on it , is that one worth more or is the one without the D worth more?
My luck the coin I have is worth 50 cents
Hi, Sorting through my coins from different parts of the world, change left over from holidays, I came across a 1964 Kennedy half dollar & a 1981 quarter dollar coin. Looking on the internet for their possible worth, I am totally confused, they seem to go for all prices. How can I find out if my coins are worth anything? I've checked all the points you've made and it checks out.
Thanks
Had a JFK coin lying around and i went to compare with the coins in your video and its a 64 assented hair, sweet!
Do you know of any Kennedy's from 1973 with a missing ear? I have never heard of this error but I have one and would like more information.
Do you have any idea about the amount of the 1977 40% blanch silver how many were produced
Also some proof sets, maybe even mint sets, with the S mark, are made of silver even though they're post-1969. Some dopes may break these sets open to spend as 50 cent half-dollars in circulation until theyre discovered by a lucky collector.
Car1Sagan you o
Car1Sagan
So I gave one what's the value of it
That doesn't mean ppl are dopes u dont.know their situations ,It's called learn from our mistakes. But then u really don't know if ppl had grand children . Young teenagers, or who ever it may be. 🤔
? Fascinating video, I have two questions please; were any of the 1964 Kennedy half’s produced with copper you can see on the edge? And what is the best way to clean up a coin? Thank you.
DO NOT clean the coin! It devalues the coin for collectors, I found out the hard way 😏
Bless you .we're hurting financially I just watched you're video n found that 1of3 Kennedy coins is the rare one 6,370$ in excellent condition off to coin shop I go. Thank you.

I have a 71 and 72 Kennedy's that weigh 10.3 on my scale. These should weigh approximately 11.3. When I turn them on their sides they appear to be all silver and look silver on front and back.

I have the 1971 with the Denver Mint where can I find a buyer?
So were all 1971D's minted on the silver planchet? Because I have a bunch of them but they dont look like they are silver.
No. These are extremely rare and likely visible on the rim where you can see the silver coin difference.

I have a really weird 2000 Penny, would live for you to look at it
I have a 1971 and 1972 half dollar and my 1972 has a Denver logo and the 1971 has no Denver logo does that mean anything?
Hello, I have a 1971 d half dollar that weighs 11.5 which would mean it is %40 silver right??
Good job Big D
Thank you!
Are all the 71 d the one that is in your video your talking about
what side is a no mark 1971 Kennedy plated on?
As a numismat I don't care much about the composition but about the minting, the composition and the detail.
I have a 1991 and (2) 1992 Denver. I have like (05) 1977 but no mint marks. Any value other than face?
I have 4 of these... Where can I get more info?
I have a 1964 silver half dollar with no mark. I can’t tell if the I is wrong and if the hair is wrong. Wat does the no mint mark mean

I have some 1776-1976 for sell and I like watching your shows
I have these and more. What's the best way to sell them? I have a 1969 that seems to be 90% silver.
So I have a 64 Philadelphia with accented hair but it's not the lower left side of the i that's missing on mine it's the right side and it's definitely accented hair.is this possible that the lower right-hand side of the serif is missing on the I
1964 assented hair willing to sell
I have a 1964 all sliver how do I get to know the value?
Where is the best place to sell your coins and get the best price? Thanks. Kim
locally via craigslist or similar websites. This attracts collectors as opposed to going to a coin store or pawn shop that'll give you an undercut price.

I have a 2004 half dollar with no mint mark, I can’t find anything on the errors with the 2004 mint, any clue how much this would be worth?
It is worth 50 cents.

Bill Louis it's a magic prop
Magic coin. It comes apart
What's with the uplift in tone ending every statement, are you asking us about the coin?

My Dad left me uncirculated 1964 Kennedy set, two from Philadelphia and 1 from Denver mint. What are they worth? Thanks
I have this 1964 Kennedy half dollar coin as you described and doesn't show any copper in the middle. Your video description is the coin I have. I'm sure!
Where do send your coins too to have graded there no addresses
I found a lot of 1971 D Kennedy coins. What makes them worth more? I assume they are not all valuable.
If the coins have any errors those are worth more
Are you saying that all the 1971D 50 cent pieces were struck with 40 % silver? Please let me know.
I have half dollar 1971
@@knockdowntv9509 me too
No, he is saying that a very rare error coin was struck in 40% silver from that year and mint location. It is not a common coin whatsoever.
@@Co-ClownWorld how exactly can you tell if it's the rare 1971 D 50cent piece?
Hey what’s a good dealer or buyer that would buy this coin? Can I send you a pic of one I have?
I have this kind of coin, but the problem is I don't know if it's 1972 or what since there's a hole in it and it was right exactly at the 3rd digit. *sigh* Could someone tell me if it has still a value?
where should the s mark be?
buen video
I’m not a coin collector but I have the 1964 jfk half dollar with the hair and eye thing you mentioned and it’s minted on the back. Do you think it’s worth anything?
Definitely more than a regular 90% silver kennedy, but the grade is what makes it worth many multiples. Is it in great shape?
Ich habe den half Dollar von 1964
Were do you sale them.
I have a 1964 and I think it might have the enhanced hair. Where would be a trustworthy place for appraisal in Nyc?
why are you showing a 1964 coin when talking about 1970s coins?
Long Tail of Finance cuz he does not have the rare expensive on duh dum dum

I have a lot of these Kennedy halfs!!
Wanna sell them
Right I’ll buy every one. for 1 dollar and 25 cents
Just bought 220 dollars of Kennedy half dollars, full rolls of 2000p and 2001d, are they worth saving all of them or send them back to the bank.
