Thanks for the Video, I just got hold of a C3 1.4I petrol 2007, 76k miles . The Thermostat housing as a crack on it, the engine oil looks burnt the coolant looks to be just water, Last keeper didnt maintain the car . and sold it with the commments that the ENG Man light would flash on/Off and go into limp Mode, they was told it was the throttle pedel problem then brake problems, neither fix the EMG light. I Am no mechanic but edging my bets car need good service and new thermostat+ housing. Have scanned the car with a Maxiscan Mp030 no code at all. drives and pulls very well.
Hi this procedure should be same on my c4 2012 1.6hdi? My car hardly getting to op temp and no heat inside a car i have checked everything and looks like my botom radiator hose gets hot without thermostat even reaching op temp so i suspect is gone
Hi, I was releasing air from system four couple of times. Just like showed on video. System has one more air release valve close to firewall where pipes go into solon. My problem is that I can't get HOT air into salon. It is warm, but it shall be hot! Maybe there is some more air in the system. Some bubble somwhere. Or water pump is not workimg properly.
Take both bleed caps off and fill. Wait until air stops at the thermostat one and Replace the cap. Then bleed the bulkhead one. Put the filler cap on. Start the engine and turn heat on full in the cabin. If it’s not warm stop the engine and repeat.
Thank you for taking the time to make these C4 1.6 petrol videos, which are done really well. I have a problem with a knock sensor (Code P0325 from OBD2 Scan) - Question: Id the replacement of this something an amateur like me can do (I don't even know where it is located), or will it need to go to a garage? I've subscribed, so I hope to watch future videos. Thank you.
Thanks for the comments , much appreciated 😁. Tbh I’ve never replaced a knock sensor on a TU engine and yet we’ve had 100s in! Just never come across an issue with one.. generally though it should be a fairly strait forward job and as an amateur you should be ok replacing it yourself 👍👌
hello. I also have a citroen c4 1.6 petrol and I have problems with the heat inside the car. it reaches 90 * but inside it only gets hot when the engine revs harder
@@diydaly how is a headgasket test done? Because i just used a obd2 scanner on my citroen c3 2006 and it gave me P0599 code. And sometimes my car limps on ignition and i can't rev up above 1500 rpms.
Yow, thanks a lot with those video's. I had a question. What were the symptomes that u have got with this car that you have needed a New thermostat, like in detail please. About while u driving and looking at the coolant temp. Gauges.like how did it react in highway conditions and in Normal City driving. How much temp bars did u got etc..
Hi, really good video, I have a 2003 307 1.6 petrol, iam assuming most bits are the same, I wanted to ask is that the coolant temperature sensor fitted inside the thermostat? If not do you know where it is in the peugeot 1.6 petrol? Many thanks

Yeah there must be an air lock still , try the other bleeder if you’ve found one , if not try bleed at some of the pipe fittings
Take both bleed caps off and fill. Wait until air stops at the thermostat one and
Replace the cap. Then bleed the bulkhead one. Put the filler cap on. Start the engine and turn heat on full in the cabin. If it’s not warm stop the engine and repeat.
Thank you! what should be the ideal working temperature?
it should sit around 90
Hi thanks for the video, why did you replace the thermostat?
Thanks for the comment, I replaced it because the vehicle wasn’t getting up to temperature

could be thermostat related but you'll need to do a headgakset test too

thanks for the comment , basically the vehicle never got over 2 bars on the gauge during any type of driving.. thanks
Mine doesn’t get up to temperature and then suddenly overheats. Could that still be the thermostat?
Thx
No problem
