The 6 realms are supposed to represent the different stages of life. Isle of Dawn is birth, Prairie is childhood, forest is teen depression, valley is adulthood, wasteland is starting to get old and cranky, vault is celebrating your memories, and then Eden is facing death. It's great watching someone experience those different stages of life without knowing that's what it's about. Especially in Eden when you think "this sucks, I cant walk, this isnt fair, I keep getting hurt, what am I supposed to do, no one's helping me." Gives you a window into what it's like facing mortality.

Before the Kingdom of Sky (the area you explore in-game), the ancestors (spirits) lived as stars in the wings of the Mother Bird, a diety made up of the stars and planets. However, many of the stars fell from the Mother Bird and onto a planet. This planet had a mountain called Eden, which was a gateway back into the stars. A few stars, called the Elders, founded and governed a kingdom called Sky, and at the center of it was Eden. Daleth governed the Isle of Dawn and was responsible for guiding those who reached the kingdom beyond its borders. The Prairie was run by Ayin, the Hidden Forest by Teth, the Valley by the Twins Samekh, the Wasteland by Tsadi, and finally, the Vault by Lamed. You had to traverse each area to reach the mountain of Eden and enter the sky once again. However, many of the ancestors chose to stay behind and live their lives in Sky. One day two stars fell to earth- the Two Embers (they're showing up in a new show made by TGC). One of the Embers is presumed to be the Aviary Guide: the spirit who led you into the village at the beginning of the game. I call them Beyt, as they technically govern a realm of Sky. Beyt seems to be connected to the Mother Bird, but they don't seem to be as involved in the kingdom as the second Ember. The second Ember is Alef, the prince. He fell into the Isle. He traversed Sky and earned favor with the Elders, and quickly took the role of King of Sky. His name changed to Resh, which means "ruler." Resh began to better his kingdom: building military strength and the capital, which are now the ruins of Eden. His biggest project was finding a power source for his kingdom. He commissioned Teth to help him. Teth used the crystals that grow below the forest to create shells called diamonds, and in a sudden twist, began to experiment with creatures of light (mantas, jellyfish, crabs, etc.) She extracted their soul- their Light, and placed it in the crystals, which created a ultimate power source activated by using candles. These were called Power Diamonds, which you see and use throughout the game. Later, Resh requested a giant crystal for some reason, which I call the Eden Stone. Teth had to use thousands of creatures of Light to power it. However, the Light was angered for being imprisoned. It began to infect the Eden Stone, turning it a furious red. It later infected Resh himself. Some of the Elders believed that the infection was a curse, while the others embraced it. The kingdom split- On one side, Lamed led Daleth and the Twins against Resh, Ayin, Teth, and Tsadi. Those who embraced the infection were cursed with darkness plants throughout their realms, as well as monsters like Dark Crabs and Krill. The war ravaged across Sky, but eventually the elders gathered for a final fight at Eden. But the Eden Stone exploded, shattering the Elders and killing Resh. Sky was destroyed by the infection, and those whose Light was consumed were stuck on Earth as Spirits. Later, we (the Sky Kids) arrive. Our job is to free the spirits trapped on earth and send them back to the Mother Bird, as well as save those in Eden. We then enter the Mother Bird's cycle, which many call Orbit, and are reborn back into Sky again.
Sky is a beautiful game of friendship and connection so having ugly attitudes of not being friends with “randoms” won’t get you very far in the game, you will need others at some point to help you in your journey.

the reason why your haircut changes when you leave the building around 10:14 is because you don't actually own the cosmetic. if you noticed at the bottom of the screen when you were trying it on while you were sitting on the chair, it says "currently available in seasonal area". and while you can see what the hair looks like when you're wearing it in the room, and can see it in your customisation options, it's actually greyed out compared to the styles you have, which is in white. hope this helps! i'll see if i can add some more bits of advice when watching the video ☺️
18:24 while it may not be on xbox, sky is on mobile (android and ios), steam, switch, and playstation. and there's crossplay amongst devices, so everyone can play with everyone!
the candle you're trying to light around 22:12 is a chat bench! all it does is allow you to chat with another player without being friends with them for a limited amount of time.
28:18 no, those are map shrines! they show you where you are in the map, along with whether or not there are spirits (little blue people on the map) and/or winged light (yellow stars) to collect in that area. if you haven't unlocked a map shrine, you won't be able to see any missed spirits and winged light.

to relive spirits like around 24:14, you need to get your sky kid close enough to the spirit (sometimes literally inside them)!
