Based on my experience:
My lil bro joined me in gw and he carelessly left his skykid right on the respawn spot, despite what i already told him to. So he got krilled and lost 3 stars ( managed to get to him and grab the fallen ones. I was far from him at that moment)
The end result. He's verryyy behaved in gw after that. 🤣🤣🤣

those krill sounds in the game still make me so nervous, i panic and go "WHERE, WHERE IS ITT" but it did look cute when it had a party hat once.

Us when we let go of our guide’s hand directly in the middle of Eden to get a winged light:
(…aaaand subsequently got hit in the head with a rock, got saved by the guide, got stuck in a krill beam, decided to lead it away from the guide, got attacked, got saved by the guide again, they got hit with a rock, we got hit with a rock, and we both barely make it… we are not the smartest moth ^^” We probably gave our poor guide about 3 different heart attacks during that. Sorry Lantern!!)
(That was also only a few days ago; we’ve been playing for about a week and got dragged to the Vault by someone… tried to continue on our own and found Lantern who took us under their wing just before Eden. We’re still a moth, but we’re learning a lot, and we’ve already fallen in love with the game! In fact, I think we first fell in love with it in the Daylight Prarie, when all the mantas appeared in the Village area. We let out an audible gasp. The graphics in Sky are gorgeous, and I hope we continue to learn much more as we go along (and that we stop scaring every veteran who decides to adopt us with our dumb antics)!)
I had the opposite experience while learning the wasteland. "Oh this kind person seems to know what they're doing alright, let's go! *Two seconds later* Um why are we flying directly INTO the monster. Aaand now i'm targeted . Why are we still going straight. I would like to Run! Running should be happening! *Gets recked*" I can only assume they were a fellow newbie who did not yet understand the handholding system. 😂
Most of the times, I tell my moths to trust me, no matter what. I purposely run to krills for them to lose fear of them, since I know how to dodge them really good. Most of the times, they stop holding hands and the krill smashes them, but at the end they don’t lose WL.
@@Ayashii212I recommend not doing that as some can get even more scared (my "helper" when I was a moth repeatedly would krill me causing me to be traumatized by them)
I'm playing for a week now and thankfully no krill has touched me. Still too scared of them though and avoid going to the golden wasteland without my veteran friend and even then we only do winged lights and candle run when it's the day the red candles are in front of the fate at Home.
I felt the panic. I get so attached to my little wasteland moths and go full parent mode trying to protect them lol
A little update: I was guiding my moth bf through the wasteland and accidentally yelled at him out of concern like a mom, so he just went “sorry mommy sorry mommy sorry” lmao

Same, especially once they get to eden. Once I got server split at right at pnr and my moth went in without me, I sat in home for an hour acting like a panicked mother
You can actually fly in the way of the krill when it attacks another player to get hit. The krill let's go if the previous target.
So glad I'm not the only one who does that

I remember when I decided to adopt a Moth, then I later adopted another one. During one of my candle runs I had just entered the Graveyard when the 1st Moth I adopted showed up. I went down to them and was going to have them watch the Krill to memorize the paths they take when the 2nd Moth I adopted showed up. It was very stressful. Especially when they found the Wing Lights and the Sneak Stance Spirit 😓. I lost sight of them multiple times and all I could hear were Krills about to attack and then I heard one Krill actually attack but I couldn't see anything 😭😖

Im still a moth, someone helped me to find my way in eye of eden. It was a really amazing experience (sadly they left) I barely see people helping out the new players :(

It’s really sad that a lot of veteran players or just players in general are too busy candle-running or doing something else that they tend to ignore people who need help which defeats the whole purpose of the game :/ I know that when I first started playing, I really wanted help but it wasn’t there. Now I always go to wasteland and Eden in my freetime to help out and guide newer players or anyone who needs help

@@iinraged2258 Usually when I play Sky, I like to find moths and watch them run around cluelessly, unless they give me a hint to help them. I still help my friend get to the end of Eden and he's still afraid to do it on his own until this day. I usually drop him off right before it asks you if you want to continue, but not return home and die. It's really fun helping out new players, to be honest-
I hate that so much, not only is that the whole point of the game but helping out new players is super fun, taking them on candle runs, finding winged lights/spirits with them, helping them through the wasteland/eden, ect are all some of my favorite things to help new players with, especially since doing all of the above gets really boring the more you do it alone T_T
I remember the second I stepped into daylight prairie as a moth someonejust carried me through the whole thing

I've adopted a few moths in Wasteland, more in Vault. I always take them through Eden and (most of the time) dodge the krill at the end of the second area.
When I first got Sky, I didn’t have a veteran to guide me around, it was just me usually solo and then three other moths running around like chickens without heads and sometimes holding hands (we split up sometimes but always came back and met up to continue our journey). When we first got to the wasteland, one of the moths with us just left the server after getting hit by a krill. I lost 2 stars on my back that day and I’m upset it feels I’ll never get them back. We were trying to help one another but we were all small babies. We have to thank the veterans that guide the tiny and pure moths.
im a moth too when i discovered wasteland, i befriend with another two moth on the way. One hold my hand, one walking in front of us. Sadly we cannot help each other like you do because we all get separated after get spotted. I lost 3 stars, but i dont know with the others ;-;

I remember the time when I kidnapped a veteran and an ikemen during my moth days when I went to graveyard. They lost like 3 wings and to this day they don't let me lead them in wasteland unless I find a new krill trick

Bruuuhh I remember saving moths in Wasteland. You can save players by going in front of the Krills so it will focus on you giving the moth a chance to run away. It's a sacrifice but so worth it. You feel like a hero after.

Yeah I like to hang around GW now looking for moths to help like that. Even though I never fully got over my fear of krill but the adrenaline rush is part of the fun 😅

A recent experience, a few days ago when I was wandering around gw trying to find the remaining expressions that I missed, I saw a group of four moths running around without a veteran with them. At first everything seemed okay until a krill showed up and they just stood there. I panicked so much that I spammed honked to get their attention. I adopted them and named them Ditsy, Clumsy, Motionless, and Directionless. I'm always online just incase they go back there

The other day I was by the height lamp when a moth friended me. I took their hand and we went down the wind hole. It was kinda stressful for me as it was my first time guiding anyone around. I usually nyoom around on my own. The moth didn't react to broken temple spirits so I assumed they went through the safe area some time ago. Then we went to the graveyard. I waited for the krill to eat the baby manta and get lost. After I nyoomed as fast as possible to the wing light, tapped the pedestal for a split second, and went to the safe area. I forgot to check if they had the spirit in that room. At that point, my heart was beating fast and I was focused on getting them across. So far the moth had only honked a few times, mostly at the first krill. We went to the dangerous area next. I climbed up to where the door to the broken ship is and stood on the stones and watched the krill go by. The moth honked a bit. I think I scared them when I suddenly launched myself forward. The rapid honks were hilarious. I b lined myself and landed by the 3 elevated wing lights and turned around to get the one that was under pipes then off I went to the broken ship. The ship was similarly done. Watch the krill from afar then dive in. Here tho I stopped for the moth to get the spirit. We watched the krill eyesight go red from the top of the ship. Whoever caught its eye wasn't attacked. The open area was an easy ride, tho I honked to check if there was anyone ahead just in case I had to rush. We separated at the elder temple and I've never seen that moth since, but they do light my candle, and I theirs.
Haha. I took them down my usual wing light route. I hope I raised a brave moth. I was surprised too since no krill saw us.

I went to the wasteland and saw people dying. It was my first time. I've played horror survivor games so of course I tried to save them... It was more than I could handle. So i decided to come back after I reached lvl 55 so I have more feathers to work with. Maybe someone will help me, maybe they won't. I'm used to being alone or the savior in other games. But this one gave me chills in the wasteland.
As a Golden Wasteland guide/adopter of the moths; I felt the panic of trying to locate your moth. That's me when I get the hyper moths, and they flee off head-first into the Graveyard area. Usually calm and chill in that place, but the moment one of my 'kids' flees off to be a hyper thing in GY... that goes flying out the window, and in comes distracting the Krill with a dodge twirl or two.
i remember one time when i was a moth, i was practicing with the harp in starlight desert. i’m shy about letting others listen while i play, since it’s embarrassing whenever i mess up a note or haven’t learned how to play the whole song yet. so i often practiced in the area off to the side of the desert, where the wind picks up and there’s a little campsite with a well next to it. it’s a nice, quiet place i can play my instruments without a lot of players around.
anyways, one day while i was practicing, i didn’t notice that a trio of ikemen had shown up and had been sitting behind me to listen. after i finished a short song, they began clapping/blowing kisses and it surprised me, so i put my harp away in embarrassment. but then one of them brought out their own instrument and played the same song i had, but honestly their version was much better than mine. i clapped and they gave a bow, then the trio proceeded to honk and use emotes to encourage me to keep playing. so i did, playing only a few songs i knew because i was still shy about playing in front of other players. they kept cheering and clapping after each one and sometimes joined in with their instruments too. after a while, i had to log off, so i bowed in thanks a couple of times to them and left to home. they were such nice people and some of the first friendliest players i’ve met in sky, i hope to meet them again one day! 😊

So funny story.
I was in the wastelands and I found a spirit in a cave close to the ship and those things were flying in the area.
I had absolutely NO idea that I was in actual danger.
I was just hopping along, walking through the spirits memory.
I noticed a crew of four were messing around and distracting the creature on the ship deck and from within. They were so nice and they helped me finish the memory.
They celebrated when I brought the spirit back. Confetti, dancing, fireworks, we had so much fun.
And about a minute later, it dawned on me that I could have had my sheit absolutely WREAKED.....
To be fair I was extremely tired that night. But man. It was fun.
I remember when I was a little moth and everything was a bit difficult, shortly after I met a player who took me to know the whole world of sky,

i accidentally ditched a moth at wasteland entrance recently, i was speed candle running without the intention to go in to face the krills in wasteland cuz i am absolutely bad at it. They hooked onto me and i got so bamboozled that i didn even name them and went offline TTTT i can't find them in my friendlist, i want to apologise so badly TTT
bro that's nothing to feel so bad and stressed over. They're a person you don't even know and you're not obliged to go out of your comfort zone and do something you never intended just because someone randomly attached themselves to you without even asking if it's convenient for you. Don't put so much load on yourself. Go offline whenever you feel the need to if someone's causing you discomfort/inconvenience or any form of unwanted pressure.

I relate to this!! A few days ago, i adopted a moth who was cluelessly reliving the "don't go" spirit and i lost several wings distracting the krills away from my moth 🥺 They safely relived the spirit in the end tho! 🎉

I remember this one time I adopted a moth in wasteland and I was showing them around the shipyard. Then they started running off in a krill path. I realized the krill was coming and I tried to get the moths attention. They started honking at strangers and ignored me. Let's just say they were fine but I ended up losing stars 😤

A few days ago I was just running around after a new friend and somehow we went to this scary map at the end (I forgot how it's called)
I didn't know you could die in this game!! I almost died a few times but then a really skilled player came and helped us get through
It was scary! Then my friend left and I got this warning about LOSING EVERYTHING. But this skilled player told me to go with them. The Eden!!!
They helped me survive for really long! They showed me the way and saved me a few times
I remember one time during my moth days to when I've found myself an ikemen to guide me around. Once we were in the first krill area, I got a bit off concerned on what would've happened if I were to get krilled and so, I let go of their hand and waited for at least a minute before the krill spotted me. They were honking so much to call me towards em straight away. They were really worried lmao after I got krilled 💀💀

Yup, this very much sheered the terror of doing Graveyard when still a moff. I, luckily, had a vet friend to guide me and show me where the lights were and help me with the spirit. Didn't get the two orange spirits until they were necessary for dailies. I like the way you showed the deep call effect. Like it's less loudly honking and more magical.

When I was a moth I usually did everything by myself, but once I got the basic reactions from Daylight Praire, Hidden Forest and Valley of Triumph I realised that my constellation wasn't finished so I decided to search for them. No luck. But once I became friends with an experienced chibi, she helped me a lot, though she isn't active really often. But then I became friends with an Ikemen who also helps me with daily tasks and finding spirits. I'm very thankful for them and I could never repay the kindness they treated me with
There's nothing more stressful than going for a quick run through of wasteland or eden and seeing a moth about to get krilled, parental instincts kick in immediately
When I was a moth, I was entranced by krills. I wanted to pet them really badly. Then I saw a veteran actually flying with krills and dodging them and I started to learn how to do that too. Now I can actually pet them 🥰

I feel bad for my veteran now :/. I just got out of eden and reincernated, after that I decided to go ti the wasteland to search for some winged light and spirits and ask for help to a veteran, I was happy cuz they helped me :D but I keep letting go their hand to get the winged light/spirits. After all that I send her a heart for an apology hehe
3:07 the funny thing is, this can actually happen now. i saw it happen the other day. My friend and I were chilling around Wasteland, flying around. and then we met a moth, he had the "help me find a spirit!" button on, but he wouldn't let us lead him around. so we just followed them around.
after awhile my friend and I left them to do their own thing and we ended up krill dodging... well, the thing is, we heard one of the krills being set off but it wasn't by any of US. so we freaked and tried looking to see who it was, and it was THE DAMN MOTH!!
My friend and I tried flying to grab the moth, or try to lead the krill away, either way we were both trying to help the moth not get krilled.. but we were too far away, we were NOT going to make it, let alone have enough wedges to do much but get krilled along with the moth.
but then, like, out of NOWHERE, this other random player popped out of no where, took the moth's hand, and FLEW away just as the krill was going to attack the moth. the player went to one of the outer edeges of the map, where the krills don't look at, and my friend and I followed and the next 5 minutes were essentially of all of us doing the Hand On Head "omg" emote and jumping for joy all while spam honking (not the glitch).
it was the wildest thing i have ever seen. i wish i was on my switch at the time so i could have recorded the last 30 seconds of it happening. it was just amazing.
I friended the moth and named them Cri-Kee after the cricket in Mulon who was "lucky" LOLOLOLOL--
I'll never forget that sky kid who helped me get my winged lights back after they traumatically saw me get hit by a krill-

it's the first time I adopted a moth just this week...in EDEN. We went through the same troubles, they were constantly getting beat up by krills and yes, I helped them recover light and led em to a safe spot. They've been following me ever since. After the point of no return, at some parts, we got separated, but we found ourselves using instant recharge potions to light the other one up!! They're a very nice moth.
and of course, they died a lot earlier.
but their light stayed until the very end. we got through the reborn phase together and it was giving serotonin!!
after that they kind of held onto me to my winglight run until at the end of hidden forest (i needed to eat).
i have never seen them online ever since though, i was planning to take them with me.
As someone who’s still a moth and hasn’t gotten through eden yet can I just say I sincerely appreciate all you veterans who take the time to guide us? First time I saw a krill I turned around and walked away. Second time I was trying to psyche myself up to face it and another player offered me a candle, I flickered some scared emotes and they helped me by distracting the krill so I could fly past. I hadn’t even realized they had a specific sight path at that point. I love that player and any other veteran who offers a hand 😊

I remember when I was a moth and entered wasteland for the first time, I found the ark first so I didn't get to experience or even seen a krill yet. I went to do the quests to find the lights and 1 of them was to find a blue light. When I was going back to the boat, I saw a blue light in the distance - it was a krill guarding the mountain area behind the boat. So lil dum me thought that that was the light I was supposed to collect and spent much effort to go to it. Somehow I figured from the red light once the krill spots me that krill was no friend and managed to escape.
Leading moths through the Wasteland always makes me so nervous, like this is a lot of responsibility--especially when they've never seen the krill before, goddamn

This reminds me so much of my time as a moth. Though, I was quite brave and sneaky. I conserved my energy during flight, and I flew over almost the whole graveyard. Only stopped to get the stealthy stance spirit. I never really changed as far as moth to experienced player.. only the fact that I built up the courage to go through Eden alone. I didn't lose a single winged light, which is mostly due to watching UA-cam videos on Eden. I may not know a crazy amount of glitches, but I always find a way to do things.

*so yesterday I was playing sky as a moth, and I added a fellow moth and we went to wastelands. I got scared then started honking like C R A Z Y. they proceeded to go on then a veteran came up to us and added us. Then they led us through the map.*
