I hear too many sexual abuse of children by priests and it makes me angry that parents blindly trust churches and priests. I see priests as any other human beings like you and me. I don't trust them any more than I trust a stranger or acquaintances.

I was an alter server 20 years ago and I felt really safe around my perish priest, he was like family to my family. I saw him 10 years later and I took him out for dinner. He ended up dying in 2022 and I was really sad to hear the news.

Blythe Danner was such a pretty woman. And easy to watch. From the days before you needed to sell your soul before watching a simple program.
I'm not Catholic or even Christian, but I went to a co-ed Catholic school in KG & graduated from the same school. Looking back, there must have been more non-Catholics than Catholics in our school, and religion was only taught to the Catholics. We attended Moral Science, that talked about truth, kindness, patience, ethics, etc. Just simple uncomplicated virtues that made us better people. NO issues, no problem. That said, it's really quite disturbing to hear about all these horrible crimes & cover ups in the Catholic church. But blaming Catholicism instead of the Catholics is like blaming Jesus instead of Christians for crimes committed. It's the system & the way things are run that may need to be reformed, not the religion itself. Good movie👍!! Glad it ended when it did - Enough is enough!? 🙄

How parents can put their priest and their standing in the church ahead of a belief in their children’s integrity is beyond me. Nothing but admiration for parents who did believe their children and cared for them more than the church. This paedo priest thing was all over the world causing irreparable harm to millions of children everywhere. In my local Province despicable things happened to British Columbia children including murder as well as rape and other abuses. With family ties to Australia it was exactly the same story there. It’s no wonder organized religion is on the down-slide. Anglican priests were guilty of it too here in B.C. Oh and it still goes on - all over the world.
As a parent I kept my kids away from anything to do with any churches. Being well versed in the Bible as a technical read and having read it as a kid-teen- young adult over two times over can tell you there’s nothing in the good book that can teach good people more than they already know. Morality evolved over time exclusive of the church.
It seems to me in my study of greek mythology the bible seems to copy cat ancient myths anyway. Lol!

I watched The Muffin Man and it was a terrible story of a husband and wife who managed a daycare center for children. Both were obviously guilty of sexual abuse on some of the children. However, they were let off on a technically and weren’t punished. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I haven’t seen this forever, when I saw it it showed the mother shooting the priest after the verdict was announced as innocent. Then it showed her going through the trail of murder, she killed hom in the movie not sure if it still shows that I might take a look tho…

Exactly my thoughts on this as well. A priest is not God. He may very well be a deceiver to himself and think that God approves of his/her actions because they work in a church. The Catholic Church is evil and they always try and deny their molestation of children and the rape of the Nuns.

My mom also left and she threw away all Catholic things including a very beautiful picture type Bible that was gold colored and thick. She never went back. Before all of this she almost became a Nun herself. She had the wedding dress on and had the ring and just had to say athe words. She said , in her thoughts, God said; to go forth and multiply and so she did and she had us kids.
Jesus died on a cross and rose again on the 3rd day to save us from sin. He loves us more than anyone could love anyone. Humble yourself to Jesus. Repent of your sins. Jesus will forgive you. Jesus is the only way to heaven. Read the bible ask God to give you knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in his word. He will and he will see you theough everything in your life.
