A few months ago I realized that most of my ios DAWs could not record the midi output from AU drum machine plugins such as Egpulse and Ruisemaker Noir, when using the plugins built in sequencers, rather than the DAWs piano roll. This led me to realize that these DAWs could not work with AU midi effect apps, either. I found that only Cubasis and Zenbeats are capable of routing midi in the way necessary to use these plugins,without crazy work arounds or by using a Midi routing app to do so. Im surprised there are so many of these midi effects apps and so few DAWs that actually work with them. I hope Nanostudio 2 will add this functionality.
Suggester i use on mac since years.. On ios its one of my favorite apps to play around with chords and scales.. Also in standalone great for export midi chord progressions.. ❤️

Interesting observation, personally I haven't experimented with midi fx apps in any DAW except Cubasis.
Ya sadly I’ve realized this with BeatMaker 3. I have to route it to a separate audio track to record audio instead of midi which is a pain.
