I just Kove Your "Speachless" reaction. Itś so appropriate cause ABBA are beyond words in their songs. OK - I'm Swedish, so I'm kind of Partial, but again - I'm speachless too sometimes when it comes to ABBA's music. It's absolutely Timeless and Universal. It's Love and Wisdom delivered in Beautiful parcels for us to open and adore, time and time again.
I agree - it's one of their best songs. It was big when ABBA were around the first time. Somehow, it doesn't get the attention it should get today. Let's make The Name of the Game great again :-)
It is the best Abba sing imo. It has everything - richly textured and superbly produced. The official video is worth your time as it adds another layer again.
Thank you for sharing your reaction ✌🌷🌷🌷🌷 I'm Swedish and I always thought this song had a more American vibe than other ABBA songs🇸🇪❤🇺🇸 Btw - I want Frida's golden boots!😃
Agnetha's vocals are crisp as always but Frida's vocals make this song for me. I remember the first time I heard this and I wasn't impressed, but it's a definite grower. The official music video with this song is great and tells the story so well. Your reaction was clear and definitely your own. Abba songs uplift everyone so I can understand your wonder at hearing it, and I agree it's better than Just a Notion. Keep on doing Abba please.
The nervousness when she looks into your eyes is known as the 'Agnetha effect' I'm especially sensitive to it being in love with her for the past 40 years.
how nice to see you with an extraordinary song by ABBA, which has many peculiarities: 1) it's the first song in which each of the girls sings a verse as lead voice 2) the official video was recorded at Agnetha and Björn's home, because Agnetha was very late in her second pregnancy 3) "The name of the game" was released in October 1977, a month before "ABBA The Album" and the movie "ABBA The Movie" It was a bold gamble from ABBA, it opened their horizons and spread beyond pop I think that "The name of the game" (1977) have some vibs of BEATLES songs like "Penny Lane" or "Fool on the hill" (1967) curiosly, "The name of the game" was only #1 in UK (4 weeks) and replaced in the #1 for "Mull of Kintyre" by Paul McCartney You have fantastic songs in "the album" to react, ABBA's most versatile: "Eagle" of almost 6 minutes that opens the album "Move on" or "Hole in your soul" or the hymn "Thank you for the músic" (You did before "Take a chance on me" from "The Album") I see in You next vídeo for ABBA's music A big hug from Buenos Aires, Argentina South América
dude, setting aside that they are fkn HOTTIES, I can't believe nobody has copied the quaddripple track on the "the name of the game" That is what made their vocals so amazing. If you listen to them just singing together, it is different than the "the name of the game". That is the ABBA hook. I have loved them for ever and can't believe nobody has picked up on this.
Thanks for the ABBA. Yes it's one of their best. Alot of stuff going on in this one, both girls get a lead, tempo changes and the french horns on top. But I feel that way on all their songs. Here's a link to my favorite Agnetha performance. " ABBA - The Day Before You Came" ----> ua-cam.com/video/XZqstxJq0Rw/v-deo.html She's brilliant in it. So seductively sad. And it's like she's singing just to you.
ABBA is just a ton of fun. You really need to check out Gimme Gimme Gimme and On and On and Onto hear them being a bit cynical and fun with their normal subject matter.
@AustinReacts how did I miss this reaction. This is definitely one of their greatest. It is a complex song with great layering. You should watch the Official video.

It’s truly stunning, how many times Abba has written “the perfect pop song”.
ABBA is simply of another level
Yes, that is another epic Masterpiece from ABBA. They have tons of masterpieces. Love them!

Most Americans don't really know it.
@@starrynight1657 They should :-)

Number 1 for a month in UK in November 1977.
They are EPIC! One of my favorite songs of all time by any artist!

There is actually an official video to this song.
Dude, I am 41 years old and have been listening to ABBA all my life... I still get goosebumps every time I hear an ABBA song.
Such a unique song
..sends goosebumps !

Yes make it great again. Especially the brass accompanyment.
I could see myself dancing too this song in 75 , bring back the classics god .

You have fantastic songs in "the album" to react, ABBA's most versatile:
"Eagle" of almost 6 minutes that opens the album
"Move on" or "Hole in your soul"
or the hymn
"Thank you for the músic"
(You did before "Take a chance on me" from "The Album")
I see in You next vídeo for ABBA's music
A big hug from
Buenos Aires, Argentina
South América
@Lex yes, it's for Agnetha pregnacy that the official vídeo is filmed in your kitchen
Frida's vocals, sooo velvety smooth. I could listen to her all day
Oh yes. I love her vocals on this.
Agnetha and Frida literally look like dolls in this.
I was feeling down so the doctor told me to take two ABBA songs every day 🐈⬛🐈🫂♥️
😂😂😂
Check out the original video on your own. It's cute overload. Ludo for four in their summerhouse on the island in Sockholm archipelago.

I clicked on this in no time!
one of their best!
Check out Rumble in the Jungle with the Fugees - it's built on this groove.
The two best (and equal) ABBA songs were this one and 'Eagle' (the long version). Nice reaction!
Wish he was both speechless and invisible

I will say again: you're so lovely!
This is from the Japan performance.
ABBA is pure gold!!!!! Check out "Modern Day Cowboy" by Tesla
oh man, I love your ABBA reactions . please also pay attention to the lyrics next time, would like to know what you think
Progressive pop. Influenced by other stuff back then like 10cc and Queen.
