Ah, the In The Blues guy. Thanks for supporting our Hawaii guitar shops. I’m sold on these Xvive U3 units. I have 4 pairs - 2 for speakers and 2 for mics. Can’t fit them into a small mixer? Get 3’ XLR cables and you’re golden. Cheers!

Supersized at the build quality they look way more expensive in person, I got the condenser version, was a relief that it fits into my Baby Face Pro and still room for the XLR plug next to it.

could I use the Xvive to link to 4 speakers for wireless operation? I am thinking of two transmitters from the mixer into the first speaker and then a second transmitter to send a signal to the next speaker. Would this be possible or would you recommend something else?

It works great. It’s also built really well also. I forgot to mention that in the video. It feels like a substantial piece of gear when you connect it up.

how many of these can you use simultaneously without signal interruption? eg: mic up a vocal ensemble of 16 singers - will there be interference?

Have you tried using it to a guitar amp direct out to a mixer console? Is there any latency? I plan to use it to my fishman loudbox then connect my direct out going to a mixer. Thanks

My, the years go by! I now have (was a gift) of a wireless microphone gadget which I use with my dynamic microphones (Shure Beta 58A and Audio Technica AE6100). It is superb; it is the CARVIN WM5 wireless adapter. ($160) Rechargeable battery in both transmitter and receiver. Excellent clear audio quality and no hum/noise at all. Interestingly, Amazon sells an identical looking unit called the JOYO ($110) but if I decide to get another wireless adapter, I'll stay with the Carvin.

1 TX to 2 RXs definitely works. I saw another channel testing it. But it wont got the other way, 2 TX to 1 RX. I've also seen on two different reviews where they stress tested the battery and in both cases they got 9 hours out of it.

How about a inexpensive "hack " for an In ear monitor?
I have the Berhinger Powerplay P2 monitor amplifier(which is a XLR corded system)..seems like you could attach the Male XLR XVIVE RECEIVER , then get an Male XLR to male TRS adapter, for the XVIVE TRANSMITTER, plug the TRS into the headphone OUT of a mixing board and have a wireless IEM , for one person of course. What do you think?

I recently received my Xvive U2 Dual wireless guitar system and will soon be receiving a second unit, along with the Xvive U3 wireless mic system. I noticed in your review that you mentioned the two-unit USB cord, which I also was impressed with. However, it suddenly came to mind that a dual charging USB might cause the charging to take twice as long. Have you (or anyone else) tested this theory?

I've just bought the U3 system for making my mic's wireless.. but have immediately found that there is a high hissing noise when using?
Surely this can't be normal? Can you give any advice please, as it's too loud for me to be able to use it.
I do have to turn the gain right up on any system to get any kind of acceptable volume level from the unit.

What is it plugged into? Some preamps are the problem when it comes to hiss.

Geeky Nerdy Techy I’ve tried it in three setups - straight into a Yamaha Stagepas 1K, a JBL Eon Compact and also a Mackie CFX12 desk... all the same.
I’ve since contacted the shop who sold it and they’ve said to return it as ‘that shouldn’t happen’

Could something like this be hooked up to a sound board to send sound to a pa speaker for sound?

    • @GeekyNerdyTechy
      @GeekyNerdyTechy  5 років тому

Yes if your mixer is passive. You don't want to plug this into a powered mixer.
