- First Drive In the BMW 733i. How bad is it?
With the brakes taken care of today we get to finally drive the car for the first time. It may not be as good a car as the seller stated. How bad is it? Take a ride with me.
Don't lower it.
DON'T lower it.
DON'T LOWER IT!!!
My A/C is inop as well, but I have all the parts and not enuf time.
Enjoy the HVAC system which wants to tell YOU what is comfortable.
Just replaced the rear muffler which lasted for 40 YEARS (!) and was
near impossible to find.
After lotsa tweaks and twerks, mine now sounds almost like a brand
new one!
AS WILL YOURS!

Awesome! Thanks
@@fortheloveofcarz When you get there, I have a great valve adjustment
trick from a retired BMW tech which really works and quiets them right down.....
The usual way doesn't always work on an older "experienced" engine.
Let me know.

Dont lower it! These cars look beautiful on the road!!!!
Probably do coil overs.
takes me back to when i had that car in my early 20's ! 🙂
Okay, glad I could see the beginning of this.
She sounds great!
She runs. :-)
The BMW 733i is also the car Steve Harrington owns in Stranger Things, but was built in 1983 and it's burgundy, not black.
The original 7 I had back in the day was burgundy. By far my favorite color on these cars. I miss that thing. :-)
@@fortheloveofcarz, by the way, about German full-size luxury sedans in the '80s, I think the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W126 is way better than the BMW 7 Series E23. When the 7 Series E32 came in the late '80s and first half of the '90s, it beats out the W126 and forced Mercedes to go back to the drawing board, delaying the release of the W140 which was later the flagship luxury sedan of Mercedes in the '90s.
About every generation of the 7 Series, the 3rd Gen 7 Series (E38) is the best generation of all 7 Series models. If you think the 1st Gen 7 Series (E23) is that bad, I think it's not the worst generation of all 7 Series models, but I thought it's either the 4th (E65/E66/E67/E68) or 5th (F01). Correct me if I'm wrong.
From a visual perspective i have always thought the e23 was the best looking 7 series.Maybe the best looking 4 door sedan ever made really. It just has so much unique personality.
@@CrystalClearWith8BE and BMW E23 735i Manual is best car in World ever made.
check for vacuum leaks, and remove and clean the IAC. those cars are also notorious for cracked intake and valve cover pipes. And BTW, dont lower it, i did mine and its PAINFULL to drive now..........
Don’t want painful to drive for sure. How did you lower yours? Air or coil over? If air, are you using a ride higher sensor or an air pressure sensor?
@@fortheloveofcarz I installed H&R springs which lowered the car. The correct way to do it ofcourse is the more expensive way................coilovers.
@@margeharrison7638 Ahh ok cool. The solution I am looking at is a ride height based air suspension. Essentially I can have the car drive at normal ride height or any ride height basically, but also slam it to the ground at a car show or something. I absolutely don't want to negatively effect the driveabuility of the car. I mean to me that's why you own one of these. They are highway cruisers, not track demons. lol
Need little work but be great on highway be great for your Disney trip lol
That would be awesome !
Awesome thanks for new video
Excited to have these all coming out now!
@@fortheloveofcarz me too keep up great work
The import question is. do you go commando in those shorts while driving this car and playing brazillian music and enjoying a fine cigar? and do you have pictures.. its important to the story line. please validate??? lol
I just might!
I just Bought One. Air only only goes through the Defrosters. Any idea ?
Yep. I know exactly what it is :-) The climate control is actuated by vacuum pods. When they don't hold vacuum any more it doesn't work. I have a video coming on how to restore them. There are also lots of forum posts on fixing the system.
@@fortheloveofcarz thank you so much!!!
