Worst job you can do! Plus HVAC Vacuum pod repair
Today I tackle by far the worst job you will ever have to do on the E23. and trust me you will probably have to do it. The heater cores on these cars are problem areas. after 30 years they leak because the seals just ware out. I replaced mine and I show you how to do it.
I als show how to recondition the vacuum pods for the AC system. This is another big job. these pods run the HVAC system to make sure the air is directed to the different vents. These ware out over 30 years and just don't hold air any more. they are pretty easy to repair, just about impossible to get to though.

Nice job, it think that whole Hvac unit should be removed from the car as a whole to change the heater core. Where you get those rubber cups for vacuum actuator pods? I got couple broken ones and i need find some spareparts for them.

4:49 maybe 40 years😊. My heater was full of dust and dirt. I dont think there is a filter on these. I have only heater not aircondition.

my AC works pretty well. probably need a new compressor at some point, but it works.

Can you let me know where you got those parts from? I got 1986 735i. The HVAC unit is a nightmare to work on.
My other question, would you have a video on Camshaft (1 of my Camshaft Lobe is worn- can I Lifter shim it?) tick tick noise?

If you have a wiped lobe the best course of action is to replace the cam. There were so many of these engines made its not hard to get a hold of something like that, and the aftermarket has lots of performance cams if you want to spice it up.

For a 733i the engine is a m30b32 for a 735 the engine is a M30B34 or M30B35. So search for camshafts for that engine and you will find lots of options.

If you don’t have aircon, you can pull it without removing the whole dash!!
