    Rachel shouldn’t have been the one to sing the song with Santana. I fully agree. I dont care how you swing it, it didn’t make sense

    Ryan saw Lea, Jenna Ushkowitz & Jonathan Groff perform in the same show (Spring Awakening) on Broadway.
    Ryan based the characters on inconsistencies of school changing up things. Such as the cheerleaders are the most award winning sports over football. They never wear regular clothes, Sue only wears sweatsuits not even w/ school colors or logo. We see the trophies; but, unlike reality shows, we don't see them in any competitions, or doing any cheerleading routines nor Sue ever coaching them. They basically dance as backup dancers to Glee singers.
    Another, this is based at a fictional high school in Lima, Ohio. Yet 'road' trips to CA or NYC suddenly there (LA is about 2,300 miles = 33 hours, & NYC is about 600 miles = 10 hours).
    Parents were 'mystical' creatures, some popular (Burt's father) & (Carole Hudson) Finn's mother while others now & then (Santana's is Gloria Estefan}
    Ryan made Jonathan Groff, Sue, Coach Beiste straight characters in real life Groff's gay & they are lesbians (Ryan's gay too). And gay characters such as Blaine & Max Karofsky are straight, married to women & have kids.
    If ever been in drama clubs, choirs or band(s) in schools there are cliques & teacher's pets. Lea fit that focus & really was the favorite. Some got to Ryan's bad side for whatever reason (supposedly because partly due to Lea's influence?) got less & less time on the show. (Will Schuester, Puck & Quinn Fabray, later on Santana Lopez}
    [Lea had problems & clashed w/ Naya. Lea supposedly was a prima donna & wanted to always be top dog & Ryan catered to her.]
    Shuester's backstory (he's one got the characters work together) slowly disappeared as well as ex-wife. Puck (Mark Saling) first was the popular as the 'bad boy' then ongetting
    Heather Morris (Brittany Pierce) is/was a professional dancer. She had done backup dancing on some of the songs first seasons. She had gone on tour with Beyonce & had done Single Ladies backing up Beyonce. She was hired to show the dance since had done it for the dance skit of 'Single Ladies'. Ryan was impressed by Heather he created Brittany a character.
    Naya was a former child actor & sang. She & Heather had done dancing & both were doing backup dancing. 'Supposedly' the story was she was dating Puck but did her wrong on tour. She blew up & felt bad creating a character for her too. Sue supposedly had them spy on the glee club & eventually became members & separated from Sue.
    Indina (Queen of Broadway) she originated the role in Wicked, but got injured from a fall never should have happened. She had just given birth 3 months prior. She was worried wouldn't get casted for anything so took up Glee. After she & Jonathan left, they managed to get the into the Disney animation 'Frozen'. Indina was Elsa to Jonathan's Kristoff.
    One mistake he made was he stated wouldn't keep having Glee stuck with the characters for years stuck in high school. He managed to keep the characters associated with OH rather than move on to college or dealing with NYC & not travel back.

    I hate that they tried to make Finn the "hero" in SANTANA'S coming out episode. Not to mention, Brittany (her literal girlfriend) was barely involved

    I think part of the big deal of her not competing is her talent, but also the fact that they need 12 members to compete and have already lost a few to the Troubletones. That only leave Quinn and Tina as female voices with the rest being all guys
    Unfortunately the creator is obsessed with Lea Michele so she rally is the main character of the show. In later seasons after they graduate it gets better.

    • @suz2590

      Such BS he was obsessed with Lea. Rachel was the lead female no matter who would have played her. The creator Ian said they had to get the par of Rachel right or there would be no show, so she was the main character before it was even cast.

    Rachel is literally the main character of the show. Every time anything important happens with her are you gonna complain 😂😂

      Lol right. Not that this wasn't in plain sight the whole time, but when the show ended I kinda realized that the only character that remained completely on track and consistent is Rachel. Glee is Rachel's show, basically

    loving these reactions! and i agree with you that it was weird to give finn a "hero" storyline (i also despise his rendition of girls just wanna have fun lmao). however, like you said last reaction, santana was bound to have someone bully back. never okay to out someone, but santana constantly pushes buttons so

    • @rj-hg1kq

      ofc, yes. but the bullying back could literally have been anything. finn knew exactly what he was doing by going straight to her being closeted

    A lot of people dislike, even hate, this Finn/Santana storyline. I see comments all the time about people wondering why Rachel is the one singing "I Kissed A Girl" with Santana out of all the girls. Most wanted Brittany, but I would have also been happy if it was Quinn (😉) or Tina (she deserved more songs).

    • @suz2590
      @suz2590 Рік тому +4

      it was the wrong song but worse for them as a couple. Rachel was singing to show support for someone she doesn't even like it was the assignment. Quinn or Tina didn't have a problem with Santana for the most part, she didn't constantly pick on them. Santana should have done Constant craving alone.

    • @ObserverAmanda
      @ObserverAmanda Рік тому +4

      The other girls were singing in the background and they could have had Rachel do the same to show "support".
      Not trying to be snarky, but this show is notorious for its lack of consistency regarding character development and story lines so they could have easily created some drama in the previous one or two episodes to justify a different character if the writers actually cared to. I personally do know why they did this hamfisted writing again. I am not a fan of the song choice for this situation, but it should have only had one lead singer for the purpose of this plot point.

      @@ObserverAmanda But why when they already had conflict with Rachel and to have her show support meant something. It also gave them a first step towards some kind of friendship.

    Finn has a few very honourable moments throughout the series, but overall I never really liked him. He's not mean-spirited or anything, but can be just as self-involved as Rachel

    • @nahuelma97
      @nahuelma97 21 день тому +1

      I think it's kind of worse, in a way, because Rachel's is always incredibly blunt and transparent about her intentions. You know to expect her caring about herself. With Finn, he has this reputation for being a kind hearted guy and all that, so the shadiness kinda flies under the radar and you don't really expect it from him

  • @miguelvale419

    This episode was anything but forced. Finn was not painted as a hero, but as someone who made a mistake... and redeemed himself.
    Is Rachel at the center of things because she is actually the star and protagonist of the series?

    • @RoninSkye24
      @RoninSkye24 Рік тому +1

      Exactly. This guy last episode outright said Santana being a bully caused Finn to blow up on her. Then one episode later he's making Santana sound totally innocent and pretending that Finn was just some evil guy that outed her for no reason. He was being constantly bullied by her and he lashed out. Too bad so sad, next time don't insult someone constantly and maybe they won't out you.

    Santana was horrible to Finn and Rory in the last episode. Finn had no obligation to support her and he still did. I don't agree with his vision of a hero, Finn did even more than was necessary.

    Dude pick a side… last episode you said Santana deserved what was said because she always gives everyone crap and she actually physically assaulted Finn. But now that Finn takes the high road and turns it into a way to support her and who she is now it’s wrong and is weird?? 😂

      your looking at it from a automatically has to be a black or white situation, he can agree someone is going to argue back w/ Santana while also thinking *outing her* is wrong 💀.
      this episode clearly portrayed Finn actions as heroic, he doesn’t take the high road because he supported he initially took it because he said they need her for glee club & this entire episode he & glee club convincing her to come out & force her to accept her apology 😂.

  • @suz2590
    @suz2590 Рік тому +4

    Pretty annoying you don't get it I kissed a girl was about the girl's supporting Santana for the assignment. Plus, that song is for a straight girl and is a bad choice anyway. Also, since Rachel and Santana aren't friendly, her support shows more. Constant craving should have been her solo, but of course you don't whine about that. Rachel and Kurt's stories mirror each other, so they are going back and forth with different obstacles. NEWSFLASH, RACHEL IS THE LEAD FEMALE.

    • @wtfheim
      @wtfheim Рік тому +2

      rachel could have easily “supported” santana by singing in the back like how every other girl members did 😂. constant craving made sense being a non solo song because it’s about *every character* this episode having a issue.
      y’all also keep using this excuse of “rachel the main character” so that make it ok for her to be in every other story that has completely nothing makes no sense. multiple other characters are marketed as MAIN CHARACTERS

    • @suz2590
      @suz2590 Рік тому

      @@wtfheim not surprised missing the point. It seemed more weird Santana was singing it then Rachel since it was for her. Why would any fan want that to be her big number in her coming out story so odd. Constant Craving was the better choice for solo for Santana. Rachel songs sold better (fact) and this was also a chance to get them to sing together and start a friendship for season 4.
