LOCATION: 800 blk of Bay Marina Dr
CITY: National City
DETAILS:
A male U.S. Navy said his Dodge Dart started to act up and he pulled into the parking lot of the Best Western’s Marina Gateway Hotel. The car caught on fire and was fully involved when firefighters arrived.
Good Samaritans and a National City Police Officer attempted to put out the fire with water and a fire extinguisher, but the fire was already heavily going. One Hotel guest walked up to the sailor and handed him some cash and suggested he go get something to eat and drink.
When you just lost your job due to COVID and already behind on your car payments.....🤣🤣🤣🤣
When your engine has been running hot for a few weeks and forget to put coolant in your car....
Ppl are getting payment relief because of Covid-19.. just depends on what car company.
@@2_2_4_3 just joking.. nothing serious
Yes you can use water. I'm a firefighter done it many times. You only have to use foam if there fuel burning
it is really surprising to me nobody came out of any of those buildings to see if it was their car or not do not belong to anyone either way it was a sin
Justine Mascaro no kidding right, the even more shocking point is that San Diego Dispatch Center (911) is about less than a quarter mile south of that parking lot...
All of them where to busy having Anonymous sexual encounters. I’m pretty sure that’s how hotels stay in business.
I hope Dodge sees this and does the right thing 👍🏼 buys him a Chevy or ford.
Honda or Toyota
@@andyc9169 yup most definitely
Toyota
right by the amazon warehouse again!!!
Sailor: Hey Chief, I'm gonna be late this morning. My car is on fire.
Chief: You better be here by 9am!
That's one hell of a firewall behind the motor. Normally when cars sit and burn that long the whole interior goes up with it.
Way to be on scene fast Doug. Get up wind of that nasty smoke!
That Toyota suv is parked on a red zone fire lane 🔥😮
Yes it is.
Bonafide snitch
RIP Dodge Dart GT
Oh no What a loss 🥴
Same thing happened to our 2009 Subaru Legacy turbo
Parking? The windows are down so probably just pulled in & jumped out. Guessing it belongs to the military seen in uniform
Read the Title and description.
@@911VideoNews Nailed it!... before the description was corrected. Oh yah I've been hooked on your channel since finding it a couple weeks ago👍
cool shots, watching how it burns is great, but in order not to wait for the firemen and put out the fire, then there is just no one, all the current and watch how it burns!))))
Yes
Nothing says I’m going to stand in smoke and video
Oh and water is 95% of the time used on car fires, cuz it takes time to mix the foam, so hardly any department uses it unless it’s a big 18 wheeler or something
Look leave that up to the fire department. You see, you can't put the fire out. Only the fire department can.
This is the second US Navy sailor who's car catches fire this week. Either dealerships are taking advantage of them and selling them crappy cars or someone's sabotaging.
It's a Dodge Dart - the epitome of a piece of crap. And yes, Dodge has a history of offering easy financing to move cars off the lot. They take advantage of younger adults who end up owing more money than the car is worth.
The dart with the hardest to find stock rims. Any word on which junkyard it will go to? Need that power window switch
It go through the auctions at Copart. If a dismantler happens to buy it from auction, then it will go to his junk yard.
😂 savage
its probably a mercedes part from like a 2005 model lol
what’s up with all these car setting on fire
Why don't you try, what's up with all these car fires? I think that sounds better.
Probably 1 of the last dodge darts on the road
As a non auto mechanic - what would cause an engine fire like this? Gas from the fuel line to the engine touching something hot?
Faulty wiring is the main cause, leaking oil is a close second, Leaking fuel is a long way down the list.
@@jessh5310 lost my car to oil fire. Oil return line on a turbo blew and sprayed oil onto the turbo.
No one has a fire extinguisher, at the house stay many of them, the first second decide
It's just a Dodge. No big lose. Junk when it left the factory.
It happens like my next door neighbor's house was completely on fire
Then others came to save them but hey that happens all the time to
Dude you owe me a 10 second car 😂
Where is the fire department?
When a car starts on fire its already totalled. If there is no immediate threats to the area why hurry?
NCPD main headquarters are about 2 miles away but CVFD will probably get the call their off of E Street same distances..
Dang. Poor guy. Hopefully his insurance pays fully and he buys something else.
It’s always the merican cars
So where is the fire department
Nice parking
Yeah it is
15 dart 89000 miles
Air Pollution... Ugh.
How the hell a dodge dart catches on fire
Easy
Typical fing Chrysler 🤦🏼♂️
It's a dodge nothing new
89340 miles
Call firefighters
My car fire
BBQ Dart
wtf lol
Really? Whoever it was that was heard on the video not to use water on this type of fire as the water will spread the fire. Then the fire dept. rolls up and what do they use? Hmmm, water! That armchair fireman needs to shut up.
The white stuff they used in the water was FOAM. Thanks arm chair observer.
Doofus , they were using retardant. Did you not see the white stuff leak initially? Before making a stupid armchair assumption.
@@fakealexstrong Looked like water to me fool
David Covarubias Cool fool 👍🏽
David Covarubias That’s your uneducated assumption, “fool”.
Fire fighters took wayyyy too long
