Luna Swirl Soap Tutorial: How to do a Luna Swirl

  • Here is a detailed look on how to create a soap using the Luna Swirl technique. This is the same technique that I used on my soap that won the January 2022 Soap Challenge Club. I apologize if being slightly out of frame annoys you! This is my first video and I'm not a professional yet, but all the important stuff is visible!
What is a Luna Swirl? A Luna Swirl combines three different soap techniques in the following order to achieve the look:
    1. Ombre Pour
    2. Line Pour
    3. Hanger Swirl
To perform this technique, you should have knowledge of each technique individually and have a good amount of soaping sessions under your belt. It is also essential to use a slow-to-trace fragrance oil. A few that work well for me are Tobacco and Bay Leaf by Brambleberry, Lemon Chiffon from Lone Star Candle Company, and Huckleberry Harvest by Nature's Garden.
You can do any kind of a hanger swirl you want and each result will be stunning. I used a butterfly hanger swirl on my soap in January.
Welcome to my channel and thank you for watching this video, for liking, subscribing, commenting, and sharing!
I hope you enjoy this video and technique and I can't wait for you to make your own Luna swirls! If you try this, be sure to tag me @lunaandtheleaf or use the hashtag #lunaandtheleaf so I can see your creations!
