1:03 I completely disagree with the notion that the movie is “incredibly violent”. It has moderate violence. It’s quite tame compared to films in its genre.

Prathap Kutty .......it is a British term, we use it to describe men who drive very slowly next to a pathway, and then roll down the window and proposition women/men and ask them for sex in exchange for money. Although I do not oppose people earning a living in the sex trade, or their customers, we all have needs. But it is illegal, so when a rich, famous movie star lectures everyone about right and wrong it seems a bit hypocritical.

This movie is one of my GOATs. I think the best, simplest way to put it is that the majority of movies that exist, they will inevitably have scenes that you like less or that you’d want to skip upon rewatching. The Gentlemen does not have that for me. There’s not a single moment that I ever want to skip or avoid, because it’s all gold. I’ve seen this film well over 15 times, and it never gets old. Every time I wanna show it to a friend, I think there’s a certain scene that’d draw them in, but in reality we start from the beginning and neither of us can look away. It’s genuinely top tier. Like, if you name some of the greatest movies of all time, I’ll be able to name a section that I’d just want to skip or avoid, and that’s a natural process for a movie. But there’s something about this film, I can never turn away. I can never skip. Can never fast forward. I just feel it’s pretty much flawless and (personally, mind you) think it’s Ritchie’s best product to date (Snatch and Lock, Stock are way too overrated). It’s just a banger all the way through, and I wouldn’t change a second of it
