Face it buddy, Benjamin Franklin is right, if you trade liberty for safety you deserve neither. There is a reason everyone used to learn how guns worked in school and out of school. There is a reason everyone respected these rights no matter what on both sides until you unconstitutional fuck tards came into power.

      When they wrote then bill luckily they didn't count for inflation so it's still only 200.

      I agree, and disagree that we have a gun problem, but the certificate of ownership, and buying a fully automatic firearm, or a suppressor isn't as difficult as it seems. The whole process seems overwhelming, but it's not and it's actually very well worth it. I used to work at my Dad's "Firearms Dealership and Firing/Shooting Range," and I have personally helped people get in touch with the ATF, and helped them with get verification, but even after I said all that, I assure you it's easy. If you're ever in Georgia, and you're interested in buying a firearm, or firearm attachments/ modifications, just come on down to "Southeast Gun Supply," in Statesboro, Georgia. Thanks ...

    Ok for people who think the US has a gun problem because we have access to these firearms... I was born in the US and have lived in the US all my life, I have fired over 100,000 rounds of ammunition in my life, not one of those was at another person and I was also in the US Army ROTC/SMP program. That being said, I have not been shot at, or even had a firearm used against me yet in the 28 years I have been alive, perhaps that is my luck, but it is the truth. For those of you that live in the EU/UK I want to make some things clear. 1, Even with the entire EU/UK combined the US still has more citizens and more square footage of landmass this makes it more difficult to control the flow of illegal guns and also makes it harder to track criminal activity. 2, with the previous being mentioned if you look at FIREARM CRIMES PER CAPITA and MURDERS PER CAPITA, you will find that the US is surprisingly low on the chart. 3, in Mexico firearm ownership is STRICTLY regulated, in fact its harder to get a firearm in Mexico than it is in California, and they seem to have a little problem controlling ILLEGAL WEAPONS. You think firearms are bad, lets also ban all Bow's & Arrows, and Crossbows as well. A standard Level IIIa soft body armor panel is easily penetrated by a modern compound bow/crossbow using broadhead arrows/bolts. Level IIIa soft armor stops 90% of your common pistol and low velocity rifle rounds (emphasis on LOW VELOCITY).
    Here is a question for you to ask yourself, say you ban all guns, and to ensure that not even the criminals have them you have to switch to a military dictatorship, is it worth it, and in the end who still has the guns?

      GameFuMaster I don't know anything about you, but for the purposes of this discussion I will assume that you were not a gun owner in 1996. The 1996 ban stopped mass shootings with rifles, and the 2003 handgun restrictions stopped mass shootings with handguns. You are completely correct in that Australia has had no mass shootings since then. However, I will bring up a few points that you might not like. In 1996 a lot of people stashed their guns, and a whole lot of them ended up in the hands of criminals. These criminals then spent 18 years copying semi auto/full auto rifles and pistols, and they are the types of firearms that are used in gun crime in Australia. No Sydney gangster does a drive-by with a .22 single loader target pistol, he does it with a glock or a Luty SMG. No group of criminals would conduct a heist on an armoured cash transporter van with Enfield .303 carbines, they use L1A1s or AR-15s. The gun bans created a lucrative market for illegal firearms that would not normally exist, and simply legalising semi auto rifles would bring a whole lot of them back into the hands of law-abiding shooters.

    • @UnderLoK
      @UnderLoK 10 років тому +8

      Because the term silencer is used for the general public as they don't know what a suppressor is. Similar to how the news at a car show might say "This car has a huge V8" and a gear head show would say "This car as a 454 broed 20 over with belt driven blower...". A silencer isn't silent which is why in a place like this they use the term suppressor because we know better.

    • @bigglessy
      @bigglessy 10 років тому +6

      I don't know a great deal about the US system, but in the UK guns are registered so that people with criminal convictions, mental illnesses and those who are for other reasons banned cannot legally get hold of them. The system, when applied properly and effectively, works very well. It also means that if guns are stolen, they can be later identified and returned to their owners if found.

    • @zombieapocalipse2020
      @zombieapocalipse2020 10 років тому +3

      bigglessy agreed but the problem with our system is the restrictions on what you can own. I.e handguns and large calibre semiautos. US gun laws are ok up to the point where they still haven't managed to work a system where they dont get into the wrong hands . And We would certainly benefit from being allowed to defend ourselves with the firearms we do own though. The conundrum is you can't defend your home if you have to lock your guns up in a safe to keep them out of the hands of thieves or the retarded. Its a tough one.

    • @bigglessy
      @bigglessy 10 років тому

      zombieapocalypse2020 Jersey and the Isle of Man have it about right. The have pre 1970's UK gun laws, so you can own semi auto rifles and handguns on a firearms certificate, which is checked to the same standard as the current one on the mainland is. I can easily foresee an advancement on that allowing fully auto weapons to Registered firearms dealers being easy to work into the system, if the politicians allowed it.

    I actually do have a couple of questions lol you mentioned having the manufacturers license which allows you to convert semi auto to full auto. Do you keep any of the said converted weapons? Or once you've converted them you have to sell them? I am interested in getting the Type 07 FFL + SOT but not for the sole purpose of getting my hands on a full auto rifle for myself. I guess what I'm asking is if you convert 10 semi automatic rifles can you sell 9 but keep 1 or do they ALL have to be sold to Military/Law Enforcement? What about weapons that were manufactured after 1986? Like the M4 or the SCAR-17? Can those be converted and kept for your own personal collection? If not, is there a way to purchase it from another dealer as full auto? Personally I'm not a huge fan of full auto simply because I think it's a waste of ammunition but they don't call it the fun switch for nothing lol. I really only want to own like 2 or 3 full automatic weapons and that is the Thompson M1A1, Thompson M1928, and maybe an M16 or an M4 (triple burst) Any advice would be awesome, thanks!

    anyone feel its not right that you need licenses to get this stuff? I dont think our our founding fathers would approve.
    People should be just as well armed as our military if they want and government should not stop that.

      @zombieapocalipse2020 10 років тому +1

      I take it u have enough money for an apache helicopter then? You will always be out gunned by your gov. A couple of hundred years ago yeah, more evenly matched. But if you think your guns will protect you from your gov. Your wrong. All they will have to do is restrict your ammo through legislation anyway.

    • @FaceSilence
      @FaceSilence 10 років тому +1

      That does not mean we cant put up a fight. There are plenty of ways to take down tanks and jets. And government is only powerful if the people let it be. Propaganda is more important than any amount of tanks or jets. it is why this war in the middle east will not end we are losing the propaganda war.
      Also people can find ways to afford tanks and apache helicopters if they want. They could even put restrictions on gov to where for every 4 or so they have to give a militia 1.
      Also back in 1776 the brits had much more fire power than we did.

    The funny thing is a machine gun would be fucking useless in a zombie apocalypse... If you want to go for the head, why waste that much ammo? A semi automatic rifle with medium range and a silencer is absolutely perfect.

    I have talked to people at the gun shows about suppressors and when I read the application and the statements I'd need to submit that state the reason why I need/want one , well , it depends more so on your zoning (property) more than anything. If you live in the city limits the answer is already NO. If you live in high density zoning in the county , it's also going to be NO.

    Ok guys for those curious about suppressors... Here's my story, I went to my local FFL (LR armory if your curious) told them I wanted a suppressor for my S&W M&P15 sport, laid 400$ for the suppressor, they made me fill out question/did a background check, then I was required to pay another 200$ to the ATF. I had my finger prints taken, extensive info was ran for anything bad under my name, the. I waited 56 months to finally get my license. Once I got my license, I went back to my dealer and picked up my suppressor. (It's a very long process)
