- Thirteen-year-old Kayla endures the tidal wave of contemporary suburban adolescence as she makes her way through the last week of middle school -- the end of her thus far disastrous eighth-grade year. So reads the surprise hit from director Bo Burnham, starring Elsie Fisher in the movie entitled Eighth Grade. Reviews have been stellar for the film, sitting currently at an astounding 98% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
In the spirit of the movie, Perri Nemiroff sits down with director Burnham and his star Elsie Fisher, to discuss the movie, their time making it and what may come next. Plus, Perri and Elsie hold their own therapy sessions with the Collider Crew, helping them work through some of their workplace issues. i love this interviewer! she’s very sincere and engaging. i’ve watched several interviews with them about this movie and this one seems to have a friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
also elsie is so smart and cool and adorable i just want to be her friend!! haha
yeah I noticed that too she feels genuinely interested and real ♥
“I haven’t been to that many *because I don’t have friends*”
Sis me too
Thanks for asking questions I haven’t heard a hundred times already!
she did research and listened to other interviews ♥
This movie was way scarier than Slender Man, took me right back to middle school :0.
Great movie! Elsie was amazing. Im a bit introverted myself, so i could relate to her character. Really well done.
I’ve watched countless interviews with these two and this is probably the best one
Great interview, it is the best movie I ever seen in 2018, it is by far amazing and beautiful, so much to talk about, amazing film, great interview
We need a UK release! And I don’t just mean straight to netflix! A cinema release please!
Perri !! great interview and Bo and Elise’s collider videos are awesome
Next movie: *9th grade*
Haha! Bo has made jokes like that saying he is going to do 5th Grade, and have it be a Lord of the Flies type atmosphere!
Why did they edit them so weirdly close in the thumbnail?
Yes, Perri well done. So good to see someone else then Frosty interview stars. (nothing against Frosty, but you know what I mean). I am hyped about this movie (in 5 years when it opens here in Europe)
Where's the Bo Burnham Celebrity Schmoedown?
I think he would do horribly
Can't wait to see the movie. Hi Perri!
i lowkey wanna have a deep talk with just elsie bc she has some strong opinion
When will collider heroes air?
Great movie!
Bo would nevvvvvvveeerrr direct a marvel movie, shoulda cut that question, I cringed when I heard it
Oh boy.
10:49 COULD I INTEREST YOU IN EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIME
I KNOW I HEARD IT TOO
I was laughing at the car scene and saying "no,no,no, NO, NO" and I had a cringe attack and had to pause the movie to collect myself. This movie was the most intense cringe I've ever felt. (in a good way)
