Janice I hope you realize how much sound advice you give to everyone & especially those barely hanging on. I'm a single 74yo lady & allowed myself $150/month groceries & household....even if I didn't really need anything I always bought a few sale items just in case 🤣...well a few months back I had an event that I've had to take care of & I'm using most of my grocery budget to help pay off....bc I had extras in the pantry/freezer I now allow myself $50/month & only buy things IF they're ridiculously CHEAP, & just buy fresh fruit, veggies...once the "event" is paid I'll go back to original budget & get restocked for any emergency that may arise.....THANK YOU AGAIN!!
I am so happy that harvest right is sending you a new freeze dryer. You paid for working freeze dry. You deserve one. You’ve been patient with them. Thank you for sharing your Sam’s Club with us.
Janice, I love your heart for others, and your wisdom. The kids are all so awesome; you and Shawn have put a lot of work and prayer into raising that beautiful family!
Fantastic video. Those prices in the store are crazy right now. I've also been a little more strategic about the way I shop. I've already harvested extra produce we grew just for this reason. My hubby too, looks for the deals. We've become a dream team shopping together now-lol
Shawn, we love rural king too. They often have good deals on canning supplies and muck boots. Janice thank you for teaching others how budgeting is important even though you might not need to do it. It allows you to build a cushion of cash which is like a pantry!
Sarah, when will you do a video on pie baking??? I'd eat ANTHING you cook, with your calm, thrifty manner! Mama continues to be an inspiration for budgeting!
Hello Janice and family! Thanks for the video! Have you ever considered creating lists of what you keep in your storage (what you shop for I mean) and the amounts you keep in hand? It would be a really helpful aid to those of us getting started building up food storage. Thanks as always!!
Just wanted to thank you for the on line company while I cooked my meals for the rest of the month. Glad I could visit with you all. I ended up going over my budget for the same reason you did. I am only one person, but when you try to stay under $150 a month, it can be rough. My pantry though is pretty much stocked(thank you for your ideas and the pantry vlog) and all I need to do next month is fresh products. Enjoy the rest of the day!
I have to smile I had a budget this month too but added more items like Multivitamins that I really should be taking, batteries for a CD/Radio Player in case we lose power, more AA batteries for various things like my security camera's I use the Rechargeable Lithiums but dang they take forever to recharge so I'm always temporarily using AA batteries while they charge thankfully I have a friend who works for a battery store and I get 10% employee discount. I stocked up on chicken 10 pounds 79 cents a pound, extra dog food, so I'm over budget again this month too. I like Janice have reserve money to do this but there are going to be sales coming up that just can't be beat if they are anything like last years after holiday sales.. Turkeys at 49 cents a pound, same with hams I think they were 69 cents a pound. I am also single. Anna In Ohio
Hello my darling, Janice as I love all the food products you got! My son gets paid on Friday, so he’s making a brief run to Sam’s Club and after watching a compilation of the videos, I’m sure he’ll get some great stuff all due to your research! 🙏🙏🥰🥰😇😇👍👍❤️❤️
I love Sam's Rotisserie Chickens buy 4 a month and freeze, use one a week I don't eat beef so Chicken, Turkey, Fish and a small amount of pork are my main protein sources besides of course eggs. Anna In Ohio
Would love a video of kids playing music/singing! Im always so jealous of how talented they are! I cant carry a tune in a bucket 😂. I love the banjo music!!! ❤❤
Thanks for the lovely goodbye, Rebekah. 🌹 I went to Walmart for can foods. I bought 84 cans on cut green beans @$.50 for 36 cans, on whole sweetcorn @ $.50 for 24 cans, whole cranberry @ $1.98 for 24 cans. Total $77.52 at Walmart. I did compare to Krogers it totaled $. 113.16. I saved, Janice❤ $ 35.64❤
Your Sams hauls have been so helpful. A lot of what you purchase is not in my store but I can get it shipped online. Game changer for us, getting the canned tuna you can have showed in the past. It is a big savings for us!
bonsoir a vous et merci pour toutes vos vidéos je vous suis depuis des années et je suis toujours avec vous bravo pour tous ces travaux que vous avez effectuez 💝
With grocery prices going up dramatically maybe you might have to increase your grocery budget. I'm in California and I could not feed, cloth and supply all household needs for the three of us on $1100.00 a month
We used to have a Sam.we have bj wholesale.I watched 5 of your volgs you helped me with looking at sale ad .i am amazed how much money I saved thankyou janice❤❤
I do have the Plus membership, Teresa! I felt like I would end up saving money with the shipping costs since we live hours away from the nearest Sam's Club. :)
All this time ive been watching i wanted to see which turkey bacon you used. I dont have a sams close to me. Unfortunately. Any suggestions on who else may carry that kind? Im an hour-ish from st louis and about the same from y'all!
Hi Natalie!! The only place I've ever seen the Godshall turkey bacon is at Sam's Club. I did find a website where you can input your zip code to see the nearest place that sells it though. Here's the link for the site...I hope you get good results! :) godshalls.com/where-to-buy/
I really like going into rural king. I think that their maple syrup is a good buy but I don't think it is organic. I go to cape every 6 weeks or so. It's a long trip.
Hi Sharon! I hope you're doing awesome! The kids love Rural King because they can get free popcorn in there. My parents always seem to take them in that store when they stay over for Grandma Camp too. :) I didn't realize they had maple syrup there, so I guess I need to do a price comparison. Thanks for pointing it out!
Allison, dates are dried fruits that are super-delicious and very sweet! They have a large pit inside them, so those do have to be removed. We find them to be a great, all-nature, shelf-stable treat!
You're absolutely right, but it almost seems pointless to do it, Cecilia! When you're on dirt roads all the time, there's no way to get away from the mess! :)

A very sweet treat are dates stuffed with peanut butter dipped in melted chocolate (put in freezer to firm up). They taste like a Snickers bar.
Oh that sounds good. Anna In Ohio
Can we get a “Yes” and “Amen” for freeze right sending you a NEW freeze dryer?! Yipppppeeeeee! So awesome! Great haul at Sam’s! ❤
Yes and Amen, Emila!!! I was so happy when the Harvest Right tech gave me that news! :)
@@ozarkfamilyhomesteadthank god I was wondering what took them so long to
I am so happy that harvest right is sending you a new freeze dryer. You paid for working freeze dry. You deserve one. You’ve been patient with them. Thank you for sharing your Sam’s Club with us.
Sarah should make a preserving/canning series. She's a natural.
Agreed! She's braver than I am when it comes to canning - although I did make refrigerator pickles and onions this summer! Thanks Sarah!!
I would be super self-conscious filming in public too thank you for doing this for all of us
Yes, Litisha, I was so nervous that an employee was going to come up to me and ask what I was doing! :)
Ms Janice you always lift me up! Thank you and hope you and your precious family have a blessed day❤
So glad about the new machine, Janice xx

You can buy a case of premade pizza crusts that work out to $1.18 each. They freeze well. Also their shredded mozzarella is a good deal too! 💙
Thank you so much, Cindi! :)
Great video! Val C

Never worry about filming. Many UA-camrs do it.

Those rotisserie chicken carcasses make great chicken broth!!!

You have taught Shawn well that for him to check the clearance for salad mix! Well done, good man!
Always do the thumbs up, before I watch the video.😊😊
I sure do appreciate that, Annette!!! :)
Would love a video of kids playing music/singing! Im always so jealous of how talented they are! I cant carry a tune in a bucket 😂. I love the banjo music!!! ❤❤
"I could bust the window." LOL! Thanks Sarah! Reminded me of my own kiddos!
Thanks for sharing. I am glad that you were able to finally get your peroxide. See you on tomorrow's video.
It’s not really bad news that you’ve gone over budget. You guys get by & have a safety net & plenty of good food for your family. Love from 🇬🇧 ❤
Thanks for the lovely goodbye, Rebekah. 🌹

My grandma would split the dates and fill them with peanut butter then roll in 10x sugar. Quick and easy snack also tasty.
Oh my, that sounds delicious, Melinda! :) Thanks for sharing!
She is beautiful. You are doing great, being very wise.
Hope you are having a great day

I LOVE those dates!
Awesomeness I see this right as it's posted 😊
Yay!! I'm so very happy to have you here, Melinda! :)
Do you have the plus membership. It’s time for me to renew and I’m trying to decide if plus is worth it with the changes this year.
I do have the Plus membership, Teresa! I felt like I would end up saving money with the shipping costs since we live hours away from the nearest Sam's Club. :)
Hi Janice, You’ve probably mentioned this before, but why do you not eat pork?
Taylor Farms had a recall be sure to check that out okay Janice, stay safe and healthy ❤
Oooh, thank you for that, Melinda! I wasn't aware of the recall. :)
Yikes!! I didn't know that either. Thank you!!
Never heard of the second store.
Want to thank y’all for the prayers for my sweet Momma! She’s in the Presence of our
Lord and Savior.
Nice haul

Can you please do a video shopping at Target
Oh Allison, I can't tell you the last time I was inside a Target! :)
Good morning
Good morning, Allison! :)
❤❤❤
Hi
I sent you an ALERT on the video when you did not go to the markets
I did see your comment, Maureen, but now it's not there! I did not delete it, so I'm wondering if you did?
Good morning janice and family I'm confused again So you're not going to do your grocery haul tomorrow.
Hi Leteakea! I do plan to have my weekly sale ads vs. Wal-Mart prices video out tomorrow morning too! :)
Who eats dates. Are they like a big raisin
Allison, dates are dried fruits that are super-delicious and very sweet! They have a large pit inside them, so those do have to be removed. We find them to be a great, all-nature, shelf-stable treat!
The van needs a bath. 😁
