I think they didn't start the business to loot public money. They dreamt a Super Hero mindset. They failed in understanding the common men mindset and the service they wanted to provide. Mismatching. The super market chain was ok. "Nike shoe" was their business model. Subhiksa seems serving like Kamadhenu / Cooperative Stores in Price but good at customer service. Price was reasonable/cheaper. When they entered into Pharmacy and Mobile Handset business, their business started falling. They failed there. Free doorstep delivery across the city was not managed properly. Technology was not developed properly those time. In a nutshell: Right Business at a wrong primitive stage. Good Lesson for many young enthusiastic entrepreneurs.

Subiksha stores had serious accounting issues, during later stages many staffs started looting knowing that company had poor control over accounts and stocks, added to that they suffered huge losses due to one floods in chennai all goods in their Velachery godown got completely damaged by floods, after that they had inventory issues, all said they gave huge discounts to consumers when they where in operation, both in Provisions and Pharmacy those days only other small discount option to public was Amudam, Kamadhenu super market, TUCS regd Vishnupriya finance it was a clear case of default, might be becoz his clients defaulted, hence Subramaniam unable to pay the deposit holders.

My honest opinion and a small suggestion -Sir, everything in the interview was worth listening. At times, it appeared that the interviewer tries to play like a kid maybe acting ignorant of information which every common grown up person's know. His act of being so innocent stands clearly exposed. And the second point is a request to Sreenivadan Sir to avoid usage of Madras slang in his interview as it undermines his stature and his good informative talk.
