Hi Keith! Thanks for that overview. I'm still dragging my feet at shooting video. I think the main reason is the editing. I've been thinking that my phone might be the best choice because the editing would be the simplest. And, the video quality of phones today is probably good enough. The one thing I did notice was that the stability of the DJI seemed somewhat better than that of the phone footage. I also need to find an easy way to edit. I have messed with DaVinci Resolve and just get so frustrated with it. Anyway, thanks again for the overview. Have a great week and holiday!

Thanks for sharing this - I am on the fence betwen this vs replacing my broken GoPro 10 for doing similar type of walk around / photography style content. One thing I notice that seems great is you were able to focus close on your camera, which is tough with the GoPro as it is not really made to get any sort of close focus.
What do you think of the blurred background for your style of videos as opposed to something like the GoPro where everything is in focus (aside from very close)?
Also because of this video, I just found your channel, I really am enjoying your work and videos, so really glad this popped up.
Thank you! I haven’t used it enough yet to know if I’ll prefer it. It definitely focuses close but as others have noted it also hunts for focus on occasion. I’m hoping a firmware update will help. The footage is very nice though

Now the camera, and what will be the next step?
Without fooling around, I'm sure you'll enjoy this.
Even though the iPhone has a very good camera, I still maintain that a telephone is intended for making calls.
And the camera you have now purchased can be used for filming.
I have only taken some snapshots of the grandchildren with my phone, but never a "serious" photo.
You have to take one thing into account, you have shown your new toy now we also expect spectacular film work, buddy.
