- On January 1, 2015, Wisconsin ended a four year bowl game losing skid - including 3 Rose Bowls - by defeated heavily favored opponent, the Auburn Tigers of the SEC. Badger star running back Melvin Gordon amassed 251 yards and 3 touchdowns in his last game as a Badger, earning him game MVP honors.

8.5 years later this is absolutely an all time Wisconsin football game. From Barry’s sideline pre kickoff quote, Melvin’s 4th & 1, OT win, the celebration, & Mel’s post game interview. Classic.

Artis-Payne would have loved to play Northwestern or Purdue, but one team he's not going to want to play again is Wisconsin.
Now the guy who says crap about the 3rd Big Ten vs 5th SEC. The game ended 34-31 in OT. That's competitive. If anything, you should be ashamed. Bama had a 21-6 lead against OSU, who had a 3rd string QB, and beat UW 59-0, which I hate to say.
To the classy Alabama and OSU fans, thanks. Most of your respective fanbases, and you know this, aren't overly friendly. Makes me glad OSU won the natty and I look forward to the UW-Bama game on September 5.

The start of the NCAA playoffs was the first chance other conferences had to show that SEC had been getting over-ranked every season and basically winning championships by only having to beat teams like Oregon and Florida St every year.

The only starter that we lost at the WR position is Sammie Coates which it probably will hurt us. But he was a senior last year, and it was his choice if he wanted to stay one more season with us or not. We also have Marcus Davis and Melvin Ray who will probably step up in the 2015 season and have more playing time since they have been at Auburn
marktastic86 Duke Williams (Pre Season All American ... who by the way, didn't play against Wisconsin) and about 6 other 4 star receivers is who he'll be throwing to. And AU wasn't a "Heavily favored opponent" .... This was the Big 10s 2nd or 3rd team against the SECs 5th or 6th ranked team.
Still makes me sick to see this "Bend but don't Break" Defense from former DC Ellis Johnson. Now we have Will Muschamp coming in with a great deal of talent (5 Stars on every level).
Should look like a new team this year. That's why we're ranked pre season top 3 going into the season.
I SMH, when I saw Wisconsin as a bowl match up last year ... Gordon with our soft Defensive scheme wasn't going to work.
Auburn upgrades at QB, RB, about the same at WR with Duke and Co.about the same at OL .... But gains former starer at UGA Safety and a ton of Srs. at LB and vetran DL .... WIll make a title run
Eric S Everything you just said is speculation. You don't know if your D will be that much better. Your receivers are largely unproven outside of Williams, and so is your QB aside from a couple of games. He didn't do much to make the Georgia game any sort of contest, btw. Auburn's coming off a 5 game losing streak to end last season and you're thinking they'll contend for a title? Don't get your hopes up, is all I'm saying.
marktastic86 Actually, it's not. UA-cam "Jeremey Johnson Arkansas". This was the FIRST game of the year last year. JJ was a True Sophomore opening up against a SEC opponent (instead of many who open up with a 1AA team) .... He looked like Peyton Manning. He was 12-16 for 250 yds & 2 TD 0Int in the First half alone. Dude is a stud and we'll be lucky if he doesn't go pro after this year ... He's that good. So, that's not speculation at all. You obviously haven't paid much attention to our WRs. Ray, Louis, Davis are all veteran players who contributed to our National Title run in 2013.
Again, you obviously didn't watch Auburn. Jeremey Johnson was the back up last year to Nick Marshall. It wasn't JJ that played against UGA, it was Marshall, and he had an off game. Also, Duke didn't play.
Can't say anything for how we ended the season. It was a joke we lost to aTm, we fumbled on the 1 yd line and again as we were driving in for the game winner (Botched snap from the Remmington Award winning Center)
But be glad you didn't have Auburn's schedule, We played @ Miss St. @ Ole Miss, @ Alabama (All of those teams were once ranked in the Top 4 Playoff ranking) and@ UGA .... Also played @ Kansas St who contended for the Big 12.
This year All of those teams come to Auburn.
