August 18, 2022 Long Island Metro Fishing Report with Matthew Broderick

Looks like we have another ideal weekend for tuna fishing with minimal winds and positive reports from the usual pelagic grounds. From Block Island to around the central South Shore going south, yellowfin and bluefin reports have been popping up anytime boats are able to get out. Fluking continues to be great in all the major bays with some excellent ocean bites too. The North Shore is seeing a nice shot of fluke, porgies, stripers and bluefish as well. Great job on the content! Any plans on doing a segment on pier or surf fishing? Trying to put the kids on something decent to bend their rods besides small sea bass and blowfish. Been a grind this year with all the large predators so close to shore.
