For clarification:
I am referring to the snippet before Kendrick's Not Like Us in this video.
That beat samples an Electro song. Electro was a dance genre from the 80s.
Great video!
To me the Kendrick stuff is just West Coast Hyphy... not necessarily electro
Definitely not electro
Yeah idk what he be talking about half the time
Yet here you are 😂 @@AddisonBeck95
he’s only talking bout the snippet
@@phoenikkks yeah we know
The person who produced the Broccoli Beat also used Ai stem separation to make the beat.
Great sample in that beat
Wow fr? What part or what has been separated from the song that was sampled?
I do too it’s pretty common now
@@asito8485 I'm pretty sure it's just the base and some of the frequencies from the other instruments the AI thought was a part of the base.
@@bansheeboysofficial Multing is much better over the course of producing a song than AI stems. (Old 90's sampling/mixing trick.)
navie i swear your tutorials help me grow my sound, and help me become a better producer. thank you so much dude! ❤️‼️🔥
Salute to you young sir
Add reverb and delay. Back in the day we danced to strobe lights as the fog rolled from machine across the floor. So, electric boogie should have a few elements that can trigger an epileptic seizure.
Way to thrust me into my childhood, Navie! I used to have all kinds of mixtapes (actual cassettes.. lol) with electro/bass music of this era.. I absolutely jammed out! Much appreciated.
that length shortening automation on the sample is fire, makes a big difference in other genres! thnx
I can't say this enough but thank you for all you do. From the course to videos. Its greatly appreciated
Honestly one of the best teachers on here IMO. So organized and helpful, and entertaining. Thanks for this content fr gang
Kendrick Lamar snippet at beginning of not like us (music video), sample was found
Debbie Debs "when i hear music"
“This beatmaking stuff is easy” *Me who just spent 3 hours on a hi hat pattern*
note for self:
- synth bass
- main melody
- clap
- kick
- closed hat
- sub bass
- open hat
thanks navie!
I love your videos as they are easy to follow and have tons of little hidden gems that you don’t have to put in a lot of work to execute!!! I only wish there were an easier way to get some of the instruments and effects.. especially as my preferred DAW is Ableton. Much love though from a budding producer with 10+ years of on/ off experience. Peace love and beefy subs! 😂
Thank you for your videos
Thank you for watching my videos
You are so fire💯💥
hey navie d, im not sure if you teach a lot about mixing and mastering but i was wondering if you could explain hoe albums like utopia are able to mix so many genres but still sound cohesive in their composure and mix. i love how utopia brings me to another world when i listen but it always stumped me how he was able to take so many genres and put his own twist on them and still make them sound together
your sampling ideas are mind-blowing
2nd beat sample is sampling cosmic cars by cybotron
That beat is so good 🔥🔥🔥
facts 😂
Rock, rock, the Planet Rock. Don’t stop.
This is the sickest tutorial beat you’ve made
Electro funk rap from the 80s to now
ELECTRO MENTIONEDDDDD
this def gonna be a wave. I’ve been sitting on hella samples, Cleveland in the 80s had it on lock. even edm early 2010s electro is a gold mine. Can’t give the whole game away tho ;)
Could you make a turtorial for drumless hip-hop beats? ❤
why is this giving a faster memphis vibe? I like it.
how this video was so helpful. Thank you so much! Keep going!!
The new FL Studio kepler VSTs can help a lot with the 80s synth sounds.
really great video fantastic breakdown of what you're doing
With all due respect, this feels like it's probably just crunk influenced by electro. Good tutorial no less as it does explore the 80s roots of most hip hop genres today.
Or maybe Bay Area 80s/90s hiphop, which heavily inspired trap
G-funk would be the Kendrick one he played, but even then you can make 80s electro and freestyle with all stock fl studio plug-ins.
Electro especially you can just go all in with the close 808 drum kit , disco tom zaps can be made by just pitching up an 808 kick and doing tweaks to the pitch lfo.
The bass and synths are ridiculously easy and can be done with sytrus at bare minimum.
All that sampling is way too much
This sounds like hip-hop Daft Punk.
very good explanations and tips. and great sounds and end result.
I mean dr dre started off as a techno dj and house music was big b4 NWA but its still a west coast beat
value as usual (Y)
Would you make a public enemy inspired video?
W Navie
Thank you my dear
Welcome to the electro world young bluds, now bring us some innovation we need it and welcome it.
I guess you are also referring to the song TITANIC by Jackson Wang and Rich Brian, Falcons the producer really makes interesting hiphop beats with electronic influences
💎 dropping gems 💎
feels like vintage pharrell
I'm goin for u drake, u cant stop me now
Common navie W
Thank you my dear
can u give free alternatives to the distortion plugins?
Beat is sick. It reminds me of Naughty Girl...
Please do Dark Plugg like the artist Lazer Dim 700
Interesting beat
Imagine 😭
@@NavieDhe be on what called “dark plugg”
You givin away too much sauce
feels like a crime being this early
Early bird gets the beatsss
Genuine question, when looking for these sounds why does it seem everyone crate digs for samples and using AI to isolate them when you can just make them yourself? same with the 808 beat, like, it's just a tr808, why sample it when you can make it yourself?
Cheaper
Pls do a mckinley dixon style of instrumental tutorial please
ah come on - no luv for the yay? ric roc? traxamillion rip
Лютый
This beat was fire tho.
Thank you Joeeeeee
hi navie how you feeling?
im okee
Getting over a cold. Thank you for asking. How about you
@@NavieD wish you a fast recover, bro! thank you for asking too. i'm mad i can't get over JPEGMAFIA's skills, i'm going to be honest. that man is way too talented, scaring the hoes will be hard to top.
❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching
navie ur brain is pointy
W video
noice
ayyy
Yeah bro this wasnt it I understood where you were going with but yeah this kinda gave me more of a 90s boom bap if anything which is not westcoast at all
i see, i see
I just made a beat with your face, just click on the video and spam 4, 6, and 9 on your keyboard
What genre is not like us anyway? I know its West Coast, but not gfunk, but what other genre is it then?
Lol
There's absolutely nothing electro about these beats. Kurupt and Daz Dillinger were rapping over these beats in the 90s/00s. So was Snoop. Just WestCoast G-funk shit.
This just hyphy
These are no electro beats lol
10/10 ☝️👍💥
I came for electro and got hip hop 😶👎👎👎
you are a little bit late
😂wtf is this?
