You have such a kind way of looking at people . In French I would say bienveillance and I can’t find an equivalent in English that fit as perfectly . You really care about people and it shows .
Ugh! I relate to Jayme so much. As a woman who also has wide hips, a booty, and shorter legs, I really struggle also with body image due to things not fitting, or classic fashion not flattering my body type. We love our bodies... we just want clothes to love them too! Thank you for making this video and I really hope you will make more of them like this for us ladies 😍 Jayme looks great in the looks!!
As somebody with experience in design and production of apparel, I always tell people to ignore the size tag! Washed denim specifically is so inconsistent with sizing due to the wash process. Production more often than not is never on target. So truly, the size tag is meaningless. Wear what fits you and that'll be the most flattering. Also, each denim brand fits on a specific fit model. Even if the models are all the same size, their measurements and weight and muscle distribution are different amongst all the models. You'll never find two models that are exactly the same. If you don't fit a brand, keep trying another. Brands will market their denim as "the perfect fit" but that doesn't exist. Every body is different and there is no "perfect" body. Stretchy fabric may be more accommodating but truly the perfect fit only exists if you happen to have the exact same proportions as that brand's fit model.
I’ve always wondered about this… thank you! I’ve tried on so many different brands of jeans & I’ve asked myself many times “in what universe am I a size 0???” 🧐
Is there any way we consumers can find out which companies use which fit models? In general, would high end designers choose tall, thin models and Gap choose a more average build? Some of them cut clothes for long, thin legged women etc. I'd love to know about their fit models.
Jayme, bravo for this. As someone also recovering from an ED and dealing with poor body image every day, it would take a lot of courage for me to come on a segment like this and a) be so open and b) take the risk of someone else dressing me behind my “safe” silhouettes and showing it on the internet. I wish you the best in all your endeavors!
Love this so much! Especially the idea that fashion can be a wellness tool. I think it's an often overlooked part of our everyday which can impact us positively or negatively. Love the honesty and candor from you both here!
Great video. I like Jayme's clothing style. I think she does look best with the shorter or cropped shirts because it makes her legs look longer. Everything she had was really cute.
I love jayme! She is so genuine and I really liked hearing her story - I can definitely relate to a lot of her struggles. Thank you Allison for another great video ❤️
I’m SO SO SO glad that you’re doing in-person styling sessions again! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 And such important work Jayme & her husband are doing. She looks amazing in the black fitted top and blazer and my other fave is the silk skirt and Totême sweater. ❤️
Loved this masterclass video. So full of genius ideas with existing items. I can relate to Jayme & I would not have considered wearing a cropped v neck top but it looked so cool & chic. Please can the networks give Allison a show and the publishers give her a book deal. Long overdue.
This was so practical and real world application. Jayme rocks and is so great to share and put herself out there. By the way, the looks you put together were effortless and flattering. Much love and continued success!!!
Loved this! I can relate to some of the things you said Jayme. I love fashion but also have Body Dysmorphic Disorder so clothes are both a source of inspiration and a source of anxiety for me. You both look great and love your styles. xxx
Love all your videos and I watch them all at least 4-5 times! But wanted to give a special shoutout to whomever edits your videos and puts in the Jack Erwin shoe with the airhorn - omg I crack up every time! Thanks Allison, keep doing what you’re doing!
Jayme I love you! I also have short legs, wide hips, and a tum. I generally gravitate towards the clothes you picked out (boxy), and only realised that it doesn’t suit me after seeing these outfits on you. Thank you for having her on the show Allison! ❤❤❤❤
Love the looks you put together for Jayme. She has a beautiful figure, such a shame that she doesn’t see it. I really think the more fitted tops work well for her. Thanks for the outfit inspiration! Warm regards from Montreal to both of you 💚💚💚
A gratitude mindset changes everything, I've also struggled for most of my life with weight and body image but the moment i started focusing on what I'm grateful for in life i started seeing things differently, gratitude emanates from love and it shifts your focus, it helps you heal😌Start incorporating small daily moments of focusing on what you're grateful for, meditations, moments of pause, breathing, observing, journaling, writing little notes to yourself or others...we've so much to be grateful for!! but when we're focusing on what we aren't yet or don't have everything becomes a struggle
Darker base jeans and top, less texture/ stripes- … it would make her hair and skin pop - and streamline … if I was a stylist dressing her :) Blazer jeans combo excellent example ❤
Do you subscribe to the Kibbe method? I'm looking at Jayme and I think she's a natural! I feel like you guys decided volume or oversize wasn't quite right for her, but with her naturally wavy hair I feel like a voluminous pant and top in these light tone neutrals in a natural texture like linen would look so stunning on her. I'm not sure if you've covered Kibbe before but as a stylist I feel it can be limiting but also useful! Curious to hear what you think!

Allison you have an amazing eye for proportions. The outfits combinations you suggested looked really good on your friend!
