Just wanted to say I'd love to see the complete opposite side of this coin and see a video on the 10 Worst Pokemon in the TCG. 'cause this was a really awesome video.
Loved this! It's been a while since I've seen videos on the TCG. I loooooved Gardevoir EX back in Gen III, was just such a fun card. Even back in the days of not having many cards when I was a little kid and not being able to afford meta decks it was still fun in hodge-podge stuff.
I thought you just loved Gen 3 Gardevoir EX because Gardevoir has too much- *clears throat* fan art. Even though that's not the real reason. It would've still been better for a Holographic Blastoise to be the best TCG card rather than Charizard.
Extreme Attack is the best card attack name? ohohohoho Witz, seems you have not seen the new Incineroar card yet, which literally has a move called "Goddamned Punch"

Partners well with other cards. Pairs well with Sky Field Item card 9:36 - #1 Gardevoir - Secret Wonders Gardevoir is one of the most powerful cards ever made. Has two Mega Ex variants.
CringeMaster 3000 I thought it was gonna be physically strongest pokemon in tcg, like pikachu doin weights and the machop that's holding up a boulder etc
IhateU43 And a 3 Fire + 2 Colorless energy attack that requires you to discard said Fire Energies after, and a GX move that’s not even that helpful unless the opponent is really short on cards. Whereas Gardevoir GX has two moves which require only a single Fairy Energy. One does more damage depending on how much energy on both Active Pokemon, making it infinitely more powerful really. And the GX move which allows you to recover 10 cards from the Discard Pile, completely countering Charizard GX’s GX Move.
I remember trading for a Machamp my cousin had that could one shot non-evolved pokemon for one fighting energy. Despite its low 130 HP, it's one of the only older cards I have that I can potentially use viably today. I got my friends so many times with that champ it was great
there was a variation of a Gardevoir card that actually combos PERFECTLY with Mewtwo EX. It was part of my main deck and, played right, can devestate players!
Comico Productions i got news for you every single top 10 list you've ever watched about "best anything" has been 100% opinion, like every list jwittz has ever done.
nearly every sableye card has been good. but the storm front sableye makes me flip tables and walk out the room. i don't have time to watch someone play a game of solitaire against me.
DKQuagmire actually there have been significantly more bad Sableye than good (particularly in gen 3) but yeah, I'd say that especially the SF one was more bad for the game than a good card
Vileplume deserves at least an honorable mention I feel, maybe for most irritating card. Almost every Vileplume printed has an annoying ability and 2 recent ones both lock down item cards from play. The upcoming Vileplume in Burning Shadows even prevents basic Pokemon from attacking!
Tropical Peaches Vileplumes main engine, Forest of Giant Plants, is now banned from competitive play, thus now it is non viable in terms of comptetitive play. Hope you are happy now.
Think this needs an update with tag team, unbroken bonds, unified minds with pikarom, reseizard, and the new twins not to mention just about any tag team can make for a rough day if you don't have that right tech in the deck
my first ever opened pack had the very first Charizard in it... but even as Kids we quickly understood how bad it was compared to Blastoise in the very same Booster pack generation :P
@@Y0G0FU Best case turn 4 for 100 damage, only to do it again best case turn 6. Or with Blastoise, best case turn 2 60 damage to keep doing it every turn until you win the game.
It was strong-ish when it came out, but evidently the powercreep in pokemon TCG has gone Out of control, the sheer power in Many of these cards is outright stupid.
Thumnail: top 10 strongest TCG Pokémon Pikachu in thumbnail: 40 hp Gnaw 10 Also pikachu in thumbnail: I am lifting a weight therefore I am the most powerful being ever known to man
I remember one of my best cards being a Pichu, because of an ability that it had, basically letting you draw as many basic cards into your hand as you want and let you play them for free, which included legendaries. The only catch was that so could your opponent.
Kevin Hosley This isn't a top ten showing any best one card, but which Pokemon are consistently good at Pokemon TCG. Mr Mime did have an awesome first card, but I can't recall any more good Mr Mime cards.
3:33 Time Hollow in the videogames to simply de-evolve the opponent's active pokemon but it only has one pp. It is treated as a status move that is affected by taunt and gets depleted if taunt was used against it and would also be the only or one of the few status moves to be affected by protect. I feel like these sorts of counters being there helps make the move not too terribly OP within the videogames. Of course, the de-evolved pokemon gets reverted back to the original state after any battle. I think even with a one-time use (or two with leppa berry) a move like this could definitely also see use in the pokemon videogames. It would be able to counter mega-evolves for pokemon that had to have been evolved at least once (most of them) as well as just simply make the opposing pokemon's moves naturally weaker. The move is still depleted but has no effect against pokemon that don't have any evolves to them, so the opponent simply switching in to like a legendary or something would also counter this move. To sum, I think Time Hollow could be very powerful and fun when also added in to the pokemon videogame. It definitely has its checks and balances, but when used by a skillful player can swing the tides of battle immensely. I'm not sure how many pokemon should actually be able to learn this move though (it could just be Jirachi but it would still be good imo).
I actually made Dark Charizard work once, with the Entei from Neo that discarded the top 5 cards of your deck and let you attach any fire energy you found. Though my favorite (most OP) card combo was Team Aqua's Walrein + Blastoise (base)
Glad to see Gardevoir at #1. When I used to play, I really liked my Gardevoir lv X (+gallade) deck. A little sad that Sceptile wasn't mentioned, as Wild Growth + Leaf Blast was an amazing combo, but I get that it wasn't here because nobody else seemed to play it...
I traded a base set mewtwo for a common trainer ._. I had no idea what was what and the kid that traded that piece of junk to me sold me that the trainer was amazing, capable of winning entire games (it was in English and I didn't understand it back then) It hurts me until today. And it'll keep hurting me for the rest of my life.
Aw man, you didn't mention Gardevoir ex (Delta Species), the imprison power was amazing. One of those markers could cripple a pokemon for the duration of the game!
Keldoe Blast is still one of my favorite decks to play even though it gets destroyed now days unless you load it with impossible amount of energys or multi turn KOs with the GX cards HP now
Toy Techh if you have one that's Graded you could easily sell it for $400. Even ones that aren't mint or near mint go for $300. I have one as well graded 9/10, wouldn't let it go for anything.
sadly hes right. while charizards cards haven't been nearly as competitively viable as some might think, there where a few good ones over the years. My favourite was Blaines Charizard from gym challenge, which combined with the Blaine trainer card could attach 2 fire energy per turn to Blaines Charizard. then you did 20 + 20 more damage for each energy you choose to discard from it, then use pokemon center to heal off all your opponents damage done to it. Cinnebar island gym even removes water weakness from any Pokemon with Blaine in its name, and you have a ferocious unstoppable charizard!
DKQuagmire, the thing is if a card has to have other cards to back it up to be viable, it's not a good card. A good card by most TCG players' standards (Referring to TCGs in general, not just Pokemon) has to be able to do well on its own and be even better when supported with the right cards.
In the tcg online I have a deck that I use for fun that revolves around a Mewtwo ex where I build up as much energy as I can on him to steamroll my enemies but it rarely works. it's a gamble, but it's fun when I pull it off.
i really liked this video, it highlighted some of the cards that i / my friends have or the lesser-known cards that were surprisingly useful throughout the TCG, but usually, we would collect them. also, thanks to this video, i found out that both me and my friends have cards that have beaten the championship, specifically, me having the mega mewtwo Y EX card, and my friend having the mega rayquaza EX you stated in the video, but as the very shiny full art variant.
Fun fact, the term "mill" was created in the first trading card game ever created Magic: the Gathering. A card called millstone was printed and it would make your opponents put cards from the top of their library (deck) into their graveyard (discard pile) to get rid of cards in your opponent's deck, or to win by discarding all the cards in their deck.
I Tried Competing in a TCG Tournament at a DQ in Clinton,Mississippi,I Sucked at it,But I Did Get a Cool Looking Squirtle Card,Nowadays I Just Stick to Collecting The Cards
Ancient Mew is actually the strongest card even though it is banned. It is the the strongest card because you can make up the moves, hp, and energy cost for it. (e.g.) This mew now has 230 hp and it can deal 200 damage for the cost of no energy
I feel like a video based around the 2015 season would be amazing. It’s my favorite format and has so many amazing cards with so many amazing decks. Newer formats seem to be dominated by just three decks.
+Amanda DeMizio haha I think I just forgot to include the image for my editor. RayEels was a huge contributing factor for why Ray got such a high spot!
TheJWittz all good. I played RayEels back in its prime and was slightly shocked when it didn't pop up. My friends and I enjoyed the video a lot. We didn't expect the placement of some pokes.
I remember those Emerald Break decks. They were insane... 4 Shaymin EX, plus Lysandre's Trump Card, players usually went through their whole deck in 1-2 turns, often being able to hit 220, their second turn. Then Lysandre's Trump Card was banned. Pretty much killing that deck outright. Good times.
"They can't stop printing good mewtwo cards" Shining legends releases with bad mewtwo "Gardivoir is amazing" Burning Shadows releases. Gardivoir is one of the most powerful decks in standard.
5:35 I swear this card is my little brothers drug. Half of the time I fight him this thing is what wipes me. He’s been playing for a hella lot longer than me, and has 4 Ex’s in his deck. All of this in combination with a ton of energy removals, and seriously powerful tool cards that when lucky let him draw nearly 7 cards in one turn. I have a Zapdos that can do 200 damage if I get a lucky 4 coin heads, and I have a suicune that is not affected by EX’s. However, half the time I either have one of the stuck in the prize pile, or can’t use them because my foe draws his energy removals right off the bat and completely shuts me down. Oh, and he somehow is the luckiest at drawing dark energies as well, which buffs his Darkrai to absolute game breaking levels. How do I get better at this game without spending 200$ or up for EX’s? And no, I don’t have any energy removals. All I have are energy retrieval’s, which can only stall while he buffs his Pokémon to Arceus-like levels.
My favorite card back then was exeggutor flip a coin for each energy attached to this Pokemon for each heads this attack does 20 damage i won so much with that attack
I've never been a fan of playing the tcg, but i do occasionally pickup a pack and collected them more when I was younger. I was surprised to see i actually own a lot of these cards
Charizard Generations is actually good because he can use recall, You can combo that with Pokemon Evolution Charmelon Flame Thrower that does 90. Usually Flame thrower make you discard a fire energy card but Charizards recall attack energy cost is any energy. So you don't have to discard a energy as long as its not fire
I am not surprised that this wasn't in the video but I have a OP Sigilyph card with the ability safeguard which negates every effect coming from a EX card. Sigilyph also has two other abilities which I heard were really good.

Blastoise, what do blastoise and Lil' Wayne have in common, They make it rain 👌😂💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵
Ancient Mew is actually the strongest card even though it is banned. It is the the strongest card because you can make up the moves, hp, and energy cost for it. (e.g.) This mew now has 230 hp and it can deal 200 damage for the cost of no energy
It actually has 30 HP and does 40 damage for two psychic energy. bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ancient_Mew_(The_Power_of_One_promo)
When Jwittz predicted worlds victor for this year.
I feel like a video based around the 2015 season would be amazing. It’s my favorite format and has so many amazing cards with so many amazing decks. Newer formats seem to be dominated by just three decks.
5:05 my first pokemon card ever and i still love it.
I’ve Got The Dark Dragonite Card
Nice
@@Killapcs Yeah,Totally
YOU SKIPPED RAYEELS WHEN TALKING ABOUT RAY
WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS????
+Amanda DeMizio haha I think I just forgot to include the image for my editor. RayEels was a huge contributing factor for why Ray got such a high spot!
TheJWittz oh wow you actually reply to ur fans that's actually great
TheJWittz all good. I played RayEels back in its prime and was slightly shocked when it didn't pop up. My friends and I enjoyed the video a lot. We didn't expect the placement of some pokes.
No Zoroark?
I remember Gyarados being consistently good
I remember those Emerald Break decks. They were insane... 4 Shaymin EX, plus Lysandre's Trump Card, players usually went through their whole deck in 1-2 turns, often being able to hit 220, their second turn. Then Lysandre's Trump Card was banned. Pretty much killing that deck outright. Good times.
please make a video analyzing the current meta game
Ib4 Mewtwo and Darkrai.
You made some choices JWITTZ
God, I feel old. I miss when EX cards were relatively recent
The veterans hate EX cards due to them practically killing evolution cards
"They can't stop printing good mewtwo cards"
Shining legends releases with bad mewtwo
"Gardivoir is amazing"
Burning Shadows releases.
Gardivoir is one of the most powerful decks in standard.
"mew is one of my favorite pokeman cards"
hold up.
did he just say pokeman?
Top 10 strongest Pokémon
*CATERPIE EX!
SABLEYE SNUBBED
Dark Explorers Sableye
Stormfront Sableye
were both top-10 cards in their heyday...
+Yaktyl Smith Sableye was close! I won a lot of big tournaments with both of those cards
thanks for the reply!
SM Rising Guradians Hidden Moon Lunala
Nice Pokemon TCG 2 music in the background. One of my favorite VG soundtracks...really has some incredible tunes.
I better see my boy Mewtwo on this list..
Awwww yeah
Where is shaymin
YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Evan Smith

predictions:

Nich White you gonna give him a 😏 lesson
Wait you're at 1 million subs?! Why haven't I've been looking at your sub count?! Congrats!
2:30 Interesting how Toxic Gas and Garbotoxin were basically like the precursor to Neutralizing Gas
No mention of Rayeels for Rayquaza? That deck triggers me.
*Garb-Odor? I thought it was Garb-a-Door* (garbodor) well was I wrong
TheAruaGuardian made a video discussing the pronunciations of Pokemon names, I recommend checking it out

My favorite card back then was exeggutor flip a coin for each energy attached to this Pokemon for each heads this attack does 20 damage i won so much with that attack
I recommend doing a special episode where session 1 champion vs session 2 champion kind of like the Red battle in gold and silver
Night march!

LOL WTF NO SHAYMIN
Ah, come on, there's no shame in not including Shaymin...
Shaymin is definitely an honorable mention, but nothing more.
I've never been a fan of playing the tcg, but i do occasionally pickup a pack and collected them more when I was younger. I was surprised to see i actually own a lot of these cards
Really fun video! Thanks for making!
Secret Wonders Gardevoir... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Octeract [SG] it’s time to stop
Charzard is the best card in the world
ha ha!
far from it
to own if you have an old one in excellent condition
Charizard GX is
Charizard Generations is actually good because he can use recall, You can combo that with Pokemon Evolution Charmelon Flame Thrower that does 90.
Hoopa also has an ability like that
I have that Jirachi and I always annoy the crap out of my friends with that card
