1/5 scale for me is perhaps marginally worth it. I have a couple electric ones. The are impressive machines, certainly fun to drive. They are somewhat cumbersome to haul around and work on though, shorter run times, less forgiving when crashed, and of course there is the overall expense. When the truck is some distance away from you, it becomes a small dot anyway and might as well be an 1/8 scale at that point. I think 1/8 scale is overall much more manageable for frequent use, just as fun to drive, and also nice though less imposing machines.
Definitely need those pivot balls and bearings serviced after the park wet bash N cleanup before they rust up you might even get that 46mph rip on smooth bearings 😜💨💨💨

I think its the batteries that can make the difference when you're trying to squeeze out that few extra MPH.. At least, that and heating up your batteries is what the speed runner guys do, so maybe try those things and see if that gets you a bump in your speed! Next, run down a steep hill, but make it look like its "level" and a.. "don't worry about it" as they say! :)

Turn your punch settings up and also in vest in a better spectrum radio to wear you can turn your throttle up to 150 percent I have the new dx6 rugged radio and it works great with my spectrum stuff

You don't have to have a giant truck to go fast, I have a 1:16 scale legendary Sonic truck and it does 60 mph
