Hi RCS. I recently came across your channel, and your classic trance content is awesome. From time to time, I want to recreate the sounds one of my favorite artists made from around '04 to '08. This video has helped me a bit by providing some aspects I'm looking for.
Some of his tracks have been made into the so-called BMS format, which is an open format specifically designed for rhythm game usage. It's similar to a tracker file, consisting of a bunch of wav samples that you can simply load into a regular music player to hear them. Some times ago I took some of the samples I am curious about and try to recreate them, but sometimes I just can't figure out what kind of synthesizers or effects were possibly used to create the sounds.
Back then, he was active under the handle name Syatten but later started making progressive house. I'm planning to create a dedicated mix featuring many of his great trance tracks. I'll let you know when it's finished. I believe you'll be interested as a classic trance producer.
I really appreciate your content and I'm happy that we still have artists like you being active and teaching people the things you know. Yeah, EDM is cooler and I enjoy them, but still, classic stuff don't get old.

The second melody is really nice! I like the sound of the reverb but it sounds a bit too prominent for my taste, I think I would still favor the dry sound more in the mix :)

Yeah the reverb must be sidechained just as the delay to make the sound more clean. I didnt want to make the process too complex for the first time. :)

    I am thinking of getting a sh201 instead of a Yamaha an1x...

Get both! :) Jokes aside, it depends on purpose. AN1x is a super trancy synth, still capable for some up-to date sounds. JayB made a pretty good soundset for it: ua-cam.com/video/I47WLuCdUS4/v-deo.html

An1x is an underrated synth no doubt...and very much capable of modern uplifting trance...
Help me out making a choice...
I have a An1x, Waldorf blofeld, Ultra or mini nova and jp 8000 on my mind on the cheaper side...
      And
A brand new nord lead A1 against a the virus ti or ti2 anything I can get(used)...?
If you were to choose one on the cheaper and one the high end side what hardware synth would you choose... C'MON YOU CAN ANSWER THIS AS YOUR A TRANCE ENTHUSIAST....?

    Hello sir
I'm about to buy this synthe because of you channel, but i have a couple questions
Can this synthe transfer audio via USB and a vst with no delay in sound?
I mean like the virus ti?
And how you deal with the aliasing?
    Thanks in advance

      Hi!
-Yes it has a bulit in usb audio interface. But be careful, you cant install the drivers on newer MacOS systems. It works under Windows 10 and 11 works with some tweaking, you find video about that, just search for it. Roland abandoned the software support around ~2010...
-There is always delay in the sound since its basically digital streaming, the latency depends on your audio settings.
-You cannot do anything with the aliasing
