@@rcs2003 It works! After 2 years of dustcollectng, i can use it. Incase you forget: Pres cancel and hold it. Then pres tap, pres 3 and pres cancel 2x (midi) For usb-midi it is the same but instead pressing 3, pres 4. Thanks!👊🤗
I love all your sounds, I even bought this keyboard because of you. I have two computers, one with new windows and one with the older version. I've tried to install the vst in my older computer in hopes to use your patches but with no success. I hope that one day I will figure it out. Do you have produced music site? I'd love to hear your work if any. I'd also like to request more videos where you show the keyboard with the settings. I love what you are doing. Keep up the great work.
Wow thanks! :) On windows 7 and XP it has to work well. Later versions are tricky but there is a solution for even win10 to make the synth and the drivers work on it. I dont know what about MacOS, I never used Apple products... Yeah I made a ton of music since about 23 years but mainly for myself and for my friends. You can find some older stuff on my channel. And some never stuff too. Like the "DJ Hardleg - Rhythm" remix which is finished about a week ago. :) There is an upcoming video. I try to make drum sounds on the SH-201. Its an unedited older footage, but hope you gonna enjoy it as my other sound design videos. Because making drum sounds is very interesting challenge on this synth in my opinion. What computers do you use by the way?
@@rcs2003 I checked out the Rhythm Remix you did....very well done. I love the melody and sounds your pulling out of those synths and the kicks hit hard out of my studio monitors. I can't wait to hear more. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. I feel like I almost have it working. It's either the midi settings or the daw itself not working for me. I'm using FL Studio. Can you answer this for me? Which daw are you using and in the editor when you click setup and setup midi devices what's your input output look like? I see the banks in the editor and my keyboard is working for the other midi sounds like kick, snare, other vst ect. Just the editor is giving me trouble. Anyways, thank you for replying back to me...cheers man

Its not about the dry sound, its all about the mixing. Eq,delay, layering, compressing sounds together etc. The JP8000 itself cannot do this exact Exhale-sound without heavy post-processing.
Dope, it's a really underrated synth, it sounds lovely and while the jp8080/8000's filter may sound better this one makes a great alternative or supplement, especially for the pads! The reverb and delay is really great on it. How did you make the visuals?
Yeah, the JP's filters are different. Its hard to find the sweet spot on the sh-201. I just recorded my screen while a visualization plugin did its job in Winamp :)

Most common comments I see about this synth are that it can't hold a candle to th JP-8000. Seems like it does fine regardless.

You have to set master clock source to midi. I cant remember the actual key combo but its written in the manual.

I cannot watch this any longer, as it makes me too sad that I sold off my SH-201....sigh.
