I love the fact that although this is an RC car and most people will be looking at the outside, not expecting an interior to be well designed, you still add detail. THAT'S WHAT I CALL COMMITMENT GOOD JOB!!
This video really helped me paint my first RC car. I used the same method for applying decals on the Lancia and it came out near perfect! The tip for painting over with white on the mistakes really saved me. Great video thanks!
Looks absolutely mint, Matteo! Thanks for the tips on how to apply the big decals using the tape and heat gun. This has always given me grief and now you have showed the best way! Cheers.
If there were 10 like-buttons I would click them all. Great job, Matteo. And thanks for showing all your tips and tricks about building, painting and applying the stickers.
¡Gracias!...¡Eres un maestro! Tus trucos para colocar y pegar bien los adhesivos son muy buenos y el resultado final es fantástico. He aprendido mucho con este video.
The headlight cover has a spru tab still on it. I had to watch this video again because its so great! I have my trigger finger on a Lancia right now, I might have to eat peanut butter and jelly next month, but it looks worth it 😀
Excellent warm air technique on the large, complex decals there Matteo👍🏻 I too like to use a large aerosol can affixed to the roof interior for painting the main body. It's such a nice way to get easy access all round with the paint😎👍🏻 Excellent video Sir and beautiful end result.
Always a pleasure Matteo 😎👍🏻 You're videos are always superb and your channel is one of my favourites. I also own a Tamiya 037, but mine is the TA-03RS variant. And I have not been so brave as you to build it yet😆
Nice work there you got a good finish. All I would say extra would be that I would recommend you to invest in an air brush and compressor to paint the small details when you mask. This would stop the ugly paint runs under the tape and take your builds to the next level.
I am glad I found another one of your build Series!! 👍👍 This is my favorite Rally Car! I wanted this kit so badly, but it couldn't happen... Thank you for this my friend. Carmine 🚂🚙
It isn't sadly... and we need help, but can't find any after 3 years of trying. 💔 I'm more worried about my family. We need Money. Thank you for your well wishes! Hopefully things will start to get better.
Good video et good job for the body Shell. A lot of patience..... I leave in Corsica, in the country where Atilio Bettega in 1985 was died driving this (real) car. I was young when it s arrived. Nice realisation Matteo for memories 😉
It almost sounded like you were getting over a cold of some sort. It's that time of year, take care of yourself Matteo and happy new year. I always loved this model thought it was the coolest ralleye car with all the lights. Thx for putting out there👍✌👍✌
Hi Matteo ! Ein FROHES GESUNDES 2019 ! What a Beauty ! Dieses Auto ist einfach genial ! Wieder sehr informativ ! Die Heatgun wirkt wirklich Wunder ! Ich freue mich schon auf deine neuen Projekte in 2019 Viele Grüße in die schöne Schweiz
Lol, I'm doing a build series for mine too right now. It's too cold for me to paint right now. Hopefully I'll get a decent day to do so. Fantastic work my friend!
All good things come to them who wait and you have delivered a great video again. It turned out perfect. It would be great to run it with the honda city turbo. You gonna have a go at the commical hornet when it gets released
I think I would cut the large bumper so it extends just to the front edge of the body, and then heat the bumper with the hot air gun to bend it up so it meets the front edge of the body. That way it will help support the body in a crash.
Thank you! Maybe yes, I don't know. Normally I do not tighten the bolts too much, but everything is possible. I'll check this next time. Thanks for your feedback! 😊👍
Wow, looks fantastic, nice work Matteo. I hope you don't drive it into a wall and regret putting on the smaller bumper ! Look forward to seeing this run :-)
Thanks! Yes, the film is long but I wanted to show every aspect of the build. And I think it's possible to skip forward if its not interresting for you. 👍😊
Yes, of course it can be better and better with sanding and painting and polish at the end. But over all I'm happy how it looks without this effort. And after a first run and crash all the work is sensless.... 😂😂
Hallo Mat! Ok, I've built the chassis, but using super glue to join the sponges for the tyres is not a good idea! I'm ready now for painting. 😊 I am going to keep the main white colour as is, but will first polish before painting the details. It's a great little car, thanks for your invaluable input! Regards Trevor
Nice Paintjob..and useful Tricks to put the decails on..If you paint the black colour with Tamiya x18 ,you can also use a cutter to remove small mistakes after removing the masking tape..did you already try this, instead of using white coulour for overpainting?
Sorry for my scratching voice at the end of the video! Maybe I talked too much!
You can never talk too much! You have so much excellent info to share :)
Great informational video Matteo. I picked up some good tips, I'm working on a Lancia as well.
Thanks for your nice feedback! Glad it was helpful! 👍👍😊😊
Thanks so much! Pleased to hear this! 😊😊
The voice was fine. Are you actually Italian or did you effect the accent to complement the Lancia? :D
I just finished my Lancia 037 build....I don't think i could have done it without your videos...thank you!
Thanks for your good feedback! Glad to hear it was helpful! 👍😊

Wow! What a great compliment! Thanks Graham! 🙏🙏😊😊

Looks absolutely fantastic. I learned something in this video too, great idea with the tape, when applying the stickers.
Thanks Jesper! Glad it was helpfull! 👍😊

Thanks a lot Matthew! Glad it was helpful for you! 👍😊
too beautiful and detailed to run. This is a shelf queen.
I have to do a running video, but for sure I have to be very careful! 👍😊
I find it very relaxing just watching a Matteo Tamiya build, and explain how he is doing it. 😀
Thank you! Glad to hear this! 😊😊👍

Walther Rohrl, what a driver. I may have been tempted to paint the spare wheel on the interior, a fine build though.
¡Gracias!...¡Eres un maestro!

Muchas gracias Estoy feliz
I used a heat gun when I did the body decals. Worked a treat. Thanks for the tip!
Great! Glad to hear it was helpful! 😊👍
Best tutorial. And satisfying video I ever watched. I just ordered this Lancia. So excited to spend som weeks on it 😁
Great video! I had no idea how to work corners and put large decals on straight. Now I have the confidence to try it myself. Once I get a heat gun.
Thanks! Glad it was helpfull! But be careful with the heat!
I'm always impressed when I watching your videos! Respect for incredible professionalism!
Thanks a lot for your fantastic feedback! 🙏🙏😊😊
@@Matteomeier It's my pleasure! 🤗🤗
Nice method with the masking tape for the decals! And the hot air gun. Thanks
Thanks! Glad it was helpfull! 👍😊
It is relaxing to watch the details come together, but it makes me want to buy another Tamiya!

Amazing work. Excellent tips. I've been doing this a long time and still learned so much.
Thank you so much! For me it's the same, after more than 35 years, I can still learn new things. This is the good part on our hobby!
Excellent work, Matteo. U make the application of decals look easy.
Thanks Steve! 🙏😊
That turned out really nice, I would probably paint the body posts and pins white so they don't stand out as much.
Thanks! Yes, always room for improvements! 👍😊
@@Matteomeier I've got one myself now, not sure when I'll get around to building it though.
Cool, enjoy it!

Yes, this is a good idea. Maybe it could have prevent the crash in my last video. 👍😊
@@Matteomeier: I didn't see what caused the crash. How would the large bumper help? Did the small bumper get caught on a rock, or something like that?
@@deusexaethera Because there was no front bumper, the front spoiler of the body touched the ground and this caused the rollover...
Bravo Matteo! Very beautiful! 😊
Thank you! Thank you! 😊😊

After the body was painted with the clear. Did you have specs of fine dust? I say if you did could try wet sanding it. And To remove the orange peel.
Yes, of course it can be better and better with sanding and painting and polish at the end. But over all I'm happy how it looks without this effort. And after a first run and crash all the work is sensless.... 😂😂

Are you going to put LEDs in the light buckets? I am curious if the body is set up for this or if it would require modification.
Yes, I think I'll do it. It needs only to enlarge the holes a bit to be able to insert LEDs in the light buckets. Not a big deal. 😊
Просто Супер 👍👍👍👍👍
Большое спасибо. 🙏
should i spray clear coat over the decals to protect it?
You can do this, but the protection is not very good.
