I caught a 54 right there at Loudon , certain times the quality is a lot better than the quantity.
That’s exactly how it feels there a lot of times I’m there. Usually not many but the quality there can be real good.
I'd like to try there one day, i fish the dams in Alabama.
Looks like the Meeka ppl was Hella hatinh you guys lol
Haha, it was the boat people hatin cuz they were watching us catch the bigger ones.
How far do you have to cast? Are you getting all the way across? Do they ever eat at the surface or mostly off the bottom?
You pretty much want to cast a little past the furthest turbine that is on and let it drift down the current while jigging. They’ll be on top too if the conditions are right for it.
@@StriperPursuit thank you
Nevermind, saw in description. 🤣🤣
What do you use for the tail? Why do you need two set up in this condition?
Spike-it chartreuse dye
That looked like a good time some nice stripers and that smallmouth was a good one. What brand swimbait was you using
Thanks! Algag swimbaits!
@@StriperPursuit Do you use the 4" or the 5" size?
@@ktownee2 both sizes are good. 4” is probably the most common size for me tho.
sheeesh 2k views, gald your channel doing good since you transitioned from editing.
Lol thanks! I haven’t really committed to yt but i will someday.
Where did y'all get the fishing equipment at???
We get them from many places but mainly online. I just look for the best deals. Ebay for reels and usually tomo’s tackle or tackle direct for surf rods.
What kind of rod is that, looks light.
Nice videos , where can I buy the swimbait you used ?
thanks! canalbaitandtackle.com

Just moved here to Tennessee do you guide or have any recommendations trying to catch my 1st stripper?
Go below any dam on any of the Tennessee river tva dams, big jigs or hair jigs if you don’t have live bait, cut bait works well too
What part of Tennessee?? If close to me would be glad to show you some spots
Is that Melton Hill Dam at the Clinch River?
Yes it is. And also fort loudoun dam too.
@@StriperPursuit I fish those places and watts barr dam. Fun fishing!!!!
@@TomParnelle it sure is!!
What is weigh of the jig head you use?
1.5oz
Brave for only using 20lb braid
All I need most of the time lol
@@StriperPursuit you really can't horse 20lb line might as well jump to 30lb braid and 30lb leader trust me brother
When was this?
May 22
@@StriperPursuit memorial weekend was horrible below both dams
@@calishot6505 I bet! That weekend was already bad enough. Wasn’t enough fish biting to justify staying longer once everyone was there lol.
Dam wasn’t necessary to toss the fish back like so and right next to a lady and guy fishing
Sure it wasn’t necessary but it also wasn’t necessary to go down there to release it. It was a small fish. We were talking to the two people all the time we were there and were even helping them fill their cooler with skipjack. They didn’t care..
That's a pig! Stumbled onto your channel. I've been obsessed with stripers all summer in Arizona. They are over populated and AZ game and fish wants anglers to keep as many as they can. That's why they are all skinny and not fat like what you have in TN.
Shoot I wish I could be in Arizona right now then, been craving for some striper action! Been slow here these days.
@@StriperPursuit They literally bite on every cast. Now it's bait and not lures but still fun to catch. Check out how I catch them when you have time.
@@fadedchannel will do!
What's the strength of your leader?
20lb fluorocarbon. Usually strong enough but I just got 30lb lol.
they way bigger in Tennessee then in NC lol
Lol yea, there’s biggins in nc too but it’s more rare.
