Our LANDing Crew my 4 year old daughter just had an autism screening. And what led me to believe something was different was her throwing fits about everything and anything. We get our diagnosis June 28th. But her pediatrician didn’t want to thing she had any form of autism because she is verbal. My daughter was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder.

Thankyou. For being vulnerable and sharing the hard parts without showing the hard parts and your families struggles. My younger sister is someone who has struggled with behavior and sleep issues for almost a year now (cause is still being determined possibly some ptsd...) but i know my mom can relate to the stress of handling meltdowns and the hard stuff. I’m sure my sister can relate to Noah in some form with an over load of emotions. It’s nice to hear that my family isnt alone. A lot of those things can be so isolating at times. So props to everybody for trying. And yeah Noah you screamed, but you’re still brave for taking that shot that was painful. Going through painful things doesn’t make us weak, it makes us strong. Thankyou to you all for showing and for helping without even knowing your helping

As a mom of a son who has Autism & ADHD I get it. Our son has daily meltdowns. Therapist will say, coach him down before he gets to the "red zone". Way easier said then done. Once they're in a meltdown those can last for what seems like forever. It takes a toll on both the parents and the children when a family is going through a time of constant meltdowns both at home and in public environments. People will look and assume you are just a crappy parents or your kid is just a brat. Mentally and physically is draining, but we love them more then life itself.

It's so hard to describe to someone who has never lived with it. You all are doing so well, you obviously do the best you can do! Noah is such a sweet kid, just a rough time. That's call life.

You have all my respect! As a teen with mental disorders and a number of chronic illnesses, I essentially live in my doctors’ offices. I see my specialists more than I see my friends, and quite honestly I couldn’t do it if my mom wasn’t by my side through everything. Big appointment days are tough for everyone, and I’m sure it’s extra hard since Noah’s been having an especially rough time recently. I just wanted to say that I see you and I appreciate you, not many parents have what it takes to do what you do every day. Keep it up!

I work with kids who have autism that are Noah’s age. One of the biggest struggles my families are facing is puberty. It is rough for “normal” kids and is even harder for kids with special needs. Changes in hormones, weight and height changes, changes in muscle mass can make it hard to find the right dose of medications and can sometimes change how medications affect the body. On top all of all this he has dealt with a lot of change in the past few months. He is bound to have rough moments and I applaud you for not showing them but rather explaining them so that we know what is happening with out seeing the actual meltdown. Again it is no ones business but your own but I appreciate you sharing so that everyone can learn and grow. He is a strong young man and you guys are amazing parents.

I am happy you tell us how Noah has reacted to all this changes. I have thought of him trough this move especially. I know a male autistic person, I must be careful, so I say it like that. When his family moved when he was young, they decided to put him into a special autismcenter so he wouldn't be to stressed up to much because of all the changes throughout the move. As a result of that placement alone the shock was so big for him, he stopped talking all together.. And has never talked again.😢. It's so so sad to think .. His parents thought they did the most gentle thing putting him there for a few days... He ended up to stay there for months afterwards . So Noah reacting to all this is probably very naturly for a boy with his issues. Poor sweet boy.He struggles. So sweet though, saying he was sorry in the car..❤ And the comment he gave you, about being brave or not on the bloodwork.. I just had to laugh 😁. He is a special unique star of a boy❤But I fully understand it I hard on you around him. No doubt about it. I admire how you do it all.
The autistic male I told you about, is no longer a kid.. But changes is still so hard.. If he get f.ex new curtains, he can get so uneased by that, that he can start to wet his bed for days afterwards .. So to be autistic must be so hard, and offcourse treating them right probably just as hard... Their minds are so different to most of us, so it's easy to upset them, even if we try our very best to avoid it. I hope he will settle down day by day now, and you all can get some rest. Do you have help at all? I feel you should have help at home.... Like someone cleaning for you atleast, helping around the house and things like that, so you two parents don't burn out in both ends.
I love your honest vlogs. Thank you for another vlog!
I wish you could get a collab with a home designer company, so you could point and they could come in and just fix it for you! Cos you need some lazy days now!
Love from Marte in Norway 🇳🇴

Hi Steph I think you’re an amazing mum! I sympathise with a lot of what you go through as my daughter also has additional needs.
I find it really interesting how In America they provide medication for Noah’s conditions. In England they don’t tend to medicate apart from maybe Ritalin and melatonin, they usually just let them suffer it out, which is isn’t great. Love to you and your family xx

At least that’s how my gonna be 13 tomorrow 😳daughter is- plus she has Down syndrome. Every day is different yet very much the same-does that make sense? It is so hard to keep things routine for her but still try and teach her that sometimes things change and you gotta go with it. Prayers and good thoughts for you 🤗❤️

My neighbor has a 13 year old son, who is verbal autistic. The boy's name is Noah also. The dad has been my neighbor for years and I only figured out Noah is autistic by talking to him one day when he was about 11. As a toddler, I wasn't around Noah and his dad that much to notice. But now , at 13, it is so noticeable and I do not think the dad hasn't done anything about the autism, like medications or schooling. Noah goes to school, but the poor kid has been raised in a tiny studio apartment by the dad only, and some nannies because the dad works a lot. I hate to say it, but I know the dad has left Noah alone too many times. I feel like Noah will have a difficult time assimilating into society when he is older. Not sure what is going to happen to the kid. My sister's son is autistic but she gave him the perfect upbringing, with medication, schools that work with the autistic child and tons of learning experiences by being surrounded by grandparents, cousins and a long-time friend that is autistic also.

❤️. My Mom took Lithium for years. Really helped with her aggressive side. Hang in there. 👍

If my Mom lost or even gained a few pounds her lithium had to be adjusted or fine tuned if you will

Hey Steph, Zack has tried all of those meds except the lithium. He’s now on depakote, tripatal, seriquil, aderall xr and a tablet mid day and trazadone for sleep. The depakote and seriquil have helped him immensely with the aggression. I hope raising his mgs helps him.
