NAIL THE MIX is an online mixing school created by Joey Sturgis, Joel Wanasek and Eyal Levi - the guys who produced bands like TDWP, Chelsea Grin, Blessthefall, Machine Head, Monuments, Miss May I, Of Mice & Men, Reflections, Born Of Osiris, Asking Alexandria and dozens more of this generation's best metal bands.
Every month, NAIL THE MIX members get exclusive access to the REAL MULTI-TRACK SESSIONS from a REAL ALBUM, and a 6-8 hour live streaming class from the producer who mixed it. These are the actual sessions by bands like Gojira, Meshuggah, Periphery, Papa Roach, Machine Head, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember and more - and NTM is the only place in the world you'll get access to them!
“Keep my cork floating” is such a great analogy for mixing vocals. I get a new chunk of wisdom every time I listen to Jens talk about a mix.
Every time I see Jens mix, there’s always at least one thing where I’m like “Holy shit what a great idea!”
That's a cool idea with Patchwork to mix the amount of a plugin with no mix feature. Great to know that. Thank you!
Have to come back to video 1 to give the like that it needed
Always learn something new watching Jens!!!
Hot damn @ those symphonic arrangements. 😎
Why thank you, my friend!
Can't wait to dive into this over påske! 🤘🤘
I'll be honest I don't understand a lot of the technical terms but the behind the scenes of how songs are mixed is impressive and this song is 🔥🔥🤘
Got the straight up pirates of the Carribean soundtrack playing underneath the metal.
"Well done, Finnish people."
❤
i just don't understand about this de bearder thing, does Waves have some alternative plugin?
Thanks a lot Jens, you rock
preeeeetty sure that was a joke 😂
Hahaha
Do you also have a plugin that is the opposite of the debearder?A vocal bearder maybe? I would imagine you could get a more badass sound out of it 😂
10:40 this bit sounds like Lego Harry Potter videogame boss fight music
i was getting extreme timesplitters vibes lol. prob cause these vg composers also used samples in order to cut costs
It's not that there's alot going on but for me the arrangement and mix is too swamped out. Things sound good in isolation though..
