Sometimes you just have to trust your gut, even if you can't explain why it makes sense ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Subscribe so I never have another bad capacitor: / @jakesimmons64
yeah, cap issues are pretty common with SFC/SNES systems. The NES adapter actually outputs AC instead of DC, so NOA probably changed the power jack so kids wouldn't fry their SNES by using the NES adapter. Dunno why they made the adapter that way in the first place (the NES will run on DC power just fine), but NOA is gonna NOA
I remember the high pitch noise very well from crt tv’s as a kid. I still can hear the high pitched noise, but it is easy do drown that noise with game audio
Love the board diagnosing stuff. I’m also illiterate when it comes to board level repair, but to me it makes sense when you said that the caps aren’t connected to common ground, maybe it’s by design of the video circuit to reduce noise or interference on screen?
Blowing on the cart is one of the reasons carts corrode in the first place. Dont do it!
I like how you dont know what youre doing and yet you figured out exactly what you needed to do to fix it.
And I still don’t understand how I did it😂
New UA-camr on the scene :D
Welcome!

This makes me want to fix shit and learn shit lmao thanks for the content !!!
They’re supposed to be between components. Such as in this case between the PPU in the video out I think.

Capacitors are not going to be connected to ground usually.
high pass filter when you edit you video would get rid of the crt noise
