"Is Tyler even in Texas?" was a question I got a lot because hardly anyone knows about this super awesome town, filled with beautiful pine trees and nice people... oh, and roses too!!
I was born in Lufkin but we soon moved to Tyler and so did my mamaw and papaw Doggett and all my uncles , aunts and cousins . My mom and dad moved us to other parts of Texas but the rest of the Doggetts pretty much stayed in Tyler . We returned for all the major holidays and most of the summer vacations . I miss it SOOOO much and even though I always planned to return and live there again , I never did and have always regretted it as I've always considered Tyler to be my home. ❤❤❤
I wanted to say thanks for this episode. As someone from central Texas, I tend to lean west but this is beautiful so thanks for reminding us there are both sides.

It’s growing like crazy. So a lot of it is starting to look like every other city. Same stores, same restaurants… hope the historical OGs can hang in there.
Man I still haven't gotten a chance to go check out that rose garden. Such a beautiful looking place. I definitely gotta put northeast Texas on my list of travels this year
I went to the Queens tea at the rose garden during the festival, WOW. Over the top beautiful! I love Caldwell zoo! A fun ETX small town is Jefferson, come check us out. Tons of history and beautiful homes. 😊
Dude, I got to meet the penguins behind he scenes too. Did you have to disinfect on the way in and out? Throwing the fish over the waterfall was cool to watch them have fun!

I have a friend, Tyler, that was looking to move away from Houston to a smaller town so I suggested Tyler! He ended up in Midland 😂

One cool place was the Brookshire family museum that sat behind the Distribution facility. It looks like it got closed 😢.
I do believe that stuff all got moved over to fresh off of Old Jacksonville. That's what I remember hearing when I noticed it was closed down.
