I just created a etsy shop listed 2 item and had my shop deactivated all inside of 48 hours I have appealed as I listed two items that where not copyrighted or trademarked a simple scrunchie and a granny square blanket. No words in the description had anything to do with trademark or copyright. So frustrating going to have to find an alternative and I just got started with etsy. And I paid 15 dollars which I'm sure at this point I've lost. New sellers beware. Make sure you have everything pre-written for for listings the nothing thing I can think of is I had to edit my description and make sure you understand what the shipping time is and how to set that up. I had to change that as well.

Etsy's becoming too challenging and suspend can be like any Time,since i sell graphics i sell now on Karimoos, Creative Fabric and the creative market and i think it could be worthwhile in the long term

I've been on Etsy for 5 months but I already see things I don't like so I'm looking for alternatives. For example, they have recently decided to apply a withholding tax on my sales that can reach 100% of the sale amount, which is abusive, and you will have to wait 3 months before getting your money back. They say that it is in case a charge is returned by a client's card, which happens infrequently, or to pay your rates, the reality is that this way they always have a good reserve of money coming from the sales of their sellers. , and they make this money work, while you don't even have the funds to buy merchandise and pay taxes. It is very easy to charge the returns from your sales or your fees on your own bank card, since the risk of you not paying is minimal since if you do not pay they will close your account, no, the truth is that they are very interested in creating a huge reserve of money taken from the proceeds of sales, and they do not care at all if the seller runs out of funds to continue with his trade.
Also, on Etsy, you are not in control of how long it takes for your payments to come to your account. My first sale just happened yesterday. I was told my payment would not be in my bank account until 20 days after the order.
