You probably haven't seen it but in a recent podcast Mariah actually talked about how covid has actually been helpful for her voice bc she hasn't been performing constantly, and this performance plus her hero/Joy to the world performance proves it.
Shame these performances don’t go viral like the videos do when they want to drag her down for an off day, which lets be honest a Mariah off day still has vocals that most could only dream of having.

Mariah voice is truly magical … I love to hear the old Mariah back even though it’s prerecorded and she is miming , there are also enhancements on her vocals but who cares. After slaying on stage for all those years doing show after show of more or less impossible songs to sing( only Mariah can sing them) it’s no wonder at 51 her voice is not going to be the same as her young 19 year old self. I’m surprised she has a voice left with the strain she put on her vocals over the years … just want to say 👏👏👏👏 props to you xx
