The Duramax isn't pretty but is still works and you keep it going. Likely better than a new one with all the pollution controls, DEF, computers on newer ones. Too bad the Ford truck didn't work for you, hopefully you can sell it on for a profit. The new (to you) GMC looks good, hopefully it will work for you as a 'long distance' towing truck.
Id love to know more about the white GMC you have seeing as how i have one myself but a 2008 mine has 350k miles!! the engine and trans is kinda ehh as far as mechanical health but it still gets the job done
Seats in my opinion were great in the early 2000s and before I own a 01 cavalier and it feels great in that seat and then I sit in a new car and it’s horrible in everyway all they did was get rid of all the cushion

I had a 2009 HD GMC with one, prior that I had an 02 with the older 6.0. Amazingly great drivetrains,you can’t go wrong. The LS engines are the best as far as I’m concerned. Get the 09 and later since it has the better heads and 6 speed.
@@Cory81o1 The 6.0 didn’t come with that feature thank the Lord. So your safe and if you find one, look for good maintenance records and it should last several hundred thousand miles. Best truck that I owned to be honest. I traded mine for a midsized ZR2 ironically 2 years ago. I wish I would have kept it, but we downsized campers and I just didn’t need it anymore, plus my daughter took my daily driver Camry so I needed something more fuel efficient.
Agree with ya on the ford seats. Chevys are the best for me, dodges I can tolerate, and fords are rough. All good trucks, but the seats are veeerrry different

Ford seats in newer trucks absolutely suck. 2000 Silverado seats are the best I’ve had for bad backs.
