Been using 5/0 circle hooks for urchins with great success. No need for a hard hook set.
Do you harvest the Urchins yourself, or does a local bait shop sell them?
@@thenextfishingadventure202 I get them off the pilings at low tide. Some local shops do sell them.
Can you keep the urchins in a bucket floating in the water alive?
How long are you letting them chew before you whip that tip?
What are your water temps up there if you don’t mind me asking I’m a little south of you in Georgia .
Still upper 70's here, cold front hitting this week though.
Heading to Holden Beach tomorrow to fish for 2 weeks. Haven't been since August but October is usually the Best month I have had to catch sheepshead.
