Maruti is the real expert in terms of degrading their cars generation by generation instead of upgrading them.. Seriously, 3 cylinder over 4 Cylinder and lesser BHP and Torque than before! And the safety is a story for another day 😂

What's the point of downgrading a fantastic engine from 90ps 4 cylinders to 82ps 3 cylinders? If it were equipped with hybrid technology, it would be fair, but without hybrid, it feels like a gimmick, especially considering they offer the hybrid engine outside of India!
A few years down the line, swift will have a single cylinder 80 ps engine. They will provide 5 neelkamal plastic chairs. All in the name of mileage. Take my word.
If you drive it on highway, trust me you will get 30 mileage in petrol even without hybrid one.. Maruti owner since last 15 yrs.
Cheaper to make and more profit.

I'd still miss the 2nd generation body of the swift. It just seemed so perfect {my opinion}. Other than that this new version is a game changer thanks to its hybrid system.
Only a thorough test drive of this engine will prove its worth. Right now 3 cylinder with reduced hp looks disappointing 🙁

CVT with 48V mild hybrid means Direct Drive. F1 stuff‼️ These manufacturers just don't have the heart to offer such technology to us.

Downgrading to 3 cylinder engine is a new trend that maruti Suzuki has taken to the heart. This will give a big boost in sales of the i10 nios. Not expected from maruti

Simply to compensate for the cost of mandatory 6 airbags, they have downgraded the engine from 4 to 3 cylinders.
Did anyone noticed roof height while he is sitting? 6 feet people? U can feel speed braker on head..lol😅😅 if they advertise that it score better in NCAP ratings. Definitely to think twice.
Was thinking of getting a Red Black Swift after exchanging my 2 yr old Ignis just cuz of features as I knew the 4 cylinder engine is same in both vehicles.
Now I'm certain I'm not going to do that. I love the 4cylinder engine. And no way in hell will I go from that to this.

They have a Manual 3 Pot with AllGrip and Hybrid Tech which is sold in International markets.
I love the Swift, having had a First Gen one.
I wish however that they would give us the Swift Sport 1.6 and the above spec which is presently being sold in the EU etc as well.
It has always aspired to resemble the Mini Cooper all these years but now, the latest Mini Cooper generation, has ended up looking very like the Swift in a sort of role reversal.

I don’t know why they downgrade the car when launching in India. Same car launched in UK is just fabulous. You can’t even recognize the interior

They have their own competitors baleno and brezza to match that pricing
They want to keep the Baleno as a premium hatchback. So the only way to do that is to downgrade the swift which is one of the icons of suzuki

Only Swift & Wagon R of Maruti cars, the design has evolved in a good way just like Apple iphones, different every time yet easily identifiable. Evolved generation by generation. But 3 cylinder decision is not fair in my opinion as Swift is known for its peppy engine response.
Build quality ??
The latest Swift feels like a facelift: similar to the old one with a nip and tuck. Same platform, dimensions-less power with one cylinder down. But, it sips fuel better now!
Nobody mentioned that the rear window switches are present near the handbrake console.
Will feel cheap as hell.
Looks good and stylish
In colors I prefer Black hope maruthi does that
And most importantly NCAP Ratings Hope they have given importance to that as well apart from 6 Airbags

Wate of money. First of all no power and it's 8hp less than previous generation. Secondly, no major changes to looks except dash board. 3. When have people fully loaded engine will struggle to pull the vehicle. Rivals have better power engine and reasonable fuel economy. I dnt dam understand when u dnt have power what will u do with fuel economy. Useless and higher prices for such a tin can. I'm a maruthi user as well. So dnt waste ur money buying tin cans.
Wait for BHARAT NCAP results bro then say its tin can or not. 8hp less does not make a huge difference since the torque is same as before. Performance will be same as before. There is no doubt about it.

@@90zkid Torque is the same as before. Practically 8 hp does not affect performance that much. Moreover in K12 engine 90 hp is the peak power at higher rpm. How many people actually rev to higher rpms in Swift? They improved the low-end torque and power for better rideability.

They improved the 'CHASSIS' of the car
Why Maruti had switched to 3 cylinder engine in new Swift from 4 cylinder engine. Four cylinder engine is more silent, efficient and powerful when car is packed with all five passengers and luggage in the boot. Also AC is more efficient with four cylinder engine than three cylinder engine.
Please can you explain these aspects of new Swift in your next video.
Maruti should had given a CVT like baleno or torque converter at least it would be great fun to dive the car overall the car looks very nice from front as well as from behind and interior are also equally good
Any idea of the surface area of plastic parts ie bumpers compared to previous generations ? The front bumper looks much bigger .. imagine the cost of fender benders 😂

Suzuki's only stronghold was its refined 4 cyl engine, now this car literally has no appeal left. Since 3 generations this car has literally the same horsepower when others literally doubled the numbers.

The only car in marutis lineup that's sporty and stylish and they downgrade the performance in New Gen. I had the first Gen model 06. And 3 gens later there is no attempt to make it spacious and comfortable. I guess as long as people are buying why does Maruti care!
They should have atleast offered their brilliant turbo engine as an option. 3 cylinder without turbo or hybrid is a major put off for ppl who love to drive.

I can't believe that Maruti took out a cylinder and still did not give it the mild hybrid ISG ‼️The AMT too is abolished in many parts of the world. The 2024 Swift in Australia & UK get CVT ‼️
This is so disappointing.
They offered CVT in previous generation Baleno. It didn't sell that much. Maruti discontinued CVT since then. If enough people have bought Baleno CVT, they would still be offering CVT. Its because of the INDIANS that we are not getting Baleno CVT
@@user-of4ct4ib8l A conventional CVT has to go through a torque converter to pair it to the ICE. Needless to say, this system suffers from multiple lags. A 12V mild hybrid system cuts short the work on the torque converter and is therefore more responsive. A 48V mild hybrid system completely eliminates the need for the torque converter enabling Direct Drive CVT transaxle which is F1 stuff. Unfortunately manufacturers lack the will to offer us such technology. The Indian motorist is actually a cleaver guy. Who doesn't mind forking out a little extra when he sees the worth. We are in a typical chicken or egg paradox. Maruti should offer a proper Direct Drive CVT to see how India laps it up. Strong hybrid is Direct Drive too but with all those electric motors, is only half the story. Whereas in a mild hybrid, the CVT transaxle preserves the mechanical purity of the drivetrain. Costs are under check and 30KM/L mileage is a reality.
