You have to do the Kanye Rant next. Bo is a genius. In the Kanye Rant he is having a panic attack during the performance. He quit for 5 years and the two you have watched were from his last special post pandemic.
i really enjoy the visuals of that sad part, where the camera pans out from the instagram frame to a normal frame, like a glimpse into the life of the "white woman's" life then goes back to the insta frame and goes back to being silly. genius on his part honestly
What's even more impressive is that he personally set up every image in this video, using the same single room that all the "inside" videos are set in, all by himself with no help, during Covid lockdown.
I’ve been watching Bo since he debuted on UA-cam almost 2 decades ago. I’ve seen him live, I’ve seen all his art, literally dig in. If you wanna know how 2008 felt just google this king.
@ 5:51 The funny thing is that the "touching" part wasn't actually very moving at all. The joke is that "the white woman" writes all of this on Insta and at the end she reveals that her mother wasn't dead ("give a hug and kiss to dad"). She, "the white woman", just moved out of her parents house a decade ago and writes captions on her pictures as if she died. Great subversion of expectations and a clever comment on the weirdness of that web culture. Loved your video and analysis, man. Very thoughtful, in point, and level headed. Also your voice is dope. Peace and love from Norway.
Interesting take, I believe the “give a hug and kiss to dad” was meant to be because he dad also died. If you notice the whole video is in the 1:1 Instagram ratio and it expands during that part as if to show the real girl outside of all the corny, staged IG posts
Bo locked himself inside of a room for a year and tasked himself with making a "comedy special" called 'Inside', which this is from. He does the writing, singing, performing, lighting, recording, and editing all on his own. The only thing he needed people for was people formatting it and cutting it for Netflix / ads. Been following this dude since he was 16, and I promise you, there is not a single ounce of hyperbole when I say the dude is an absolute genius. I HIGHLY suggest you react to "Cant Handle This (Kanye Rant)" soon from his comedy special 'Make Happy'. Also, now this part is optional but it would REALLY boost then experience, if you could throw im the 5 mins leading up to the song, it really helps put things into perspective and sets it all up. Dont read too many comments, people like to spoil ish and if you go into it blind you WILL have an experience you will remember, brother. Good content so far, glad to see you on YT. Keep it up.
You have to check out more of "old" Bo too. Even as a teenager the dude was a genius. He has so many fantastic songs and has been at it since UA-cam started. Literally. Worth going down the rabbit hole. I said it before, but you'd like "Eff" by Bo. It's a rap, his lyrics are genius, and his flow is sleek.
One point he's making with this song is that you shouldn't be so quick to judge. You might think someone is foolish or shallow, but you don't know anything of what they might have gone through. Yes, the Kanye Rant is brilliant. And terrifying
Definitely do The Chicken next. Also 5 years and that funny feeling are great songs as well. Can’t go wrong with Burnham, he definitely got me through the pandemic with his music.
The video size expanded when the content was about real human experience, then back when it became vacuous again. He nails all the imagery , music videos etc. He wrote a film that was very good. For fun song try Country Song. The Chicken is touching, Gods Perspective is wonderful
I'm just dying waiting on this guy to come out with a new special or something. I'm glad you caught that mom and dad died on her at a younger age bit, a lot of people miss that. Bo pokes fun at people, but empathizes with them too. If you didn't notice the camera goes into a wide shot during that point and then back into an instagram square-ish shot after that. Which is to see what's actually going on in someone's life (wide shot) versus to see this small snippet of who we think they are.We can cringe at anyone, but they are still people at the end of the day.
"Give a hug and a kiss to dad" implying she lost both her parents. Bo's gotta juxtapose the comedy with something serious or it wouldn't be Bo. A lot of these videos are from "Inside" which you couldn't react to at once, but I'd recommend going through the whole special in it's entirety nevertheless.
The people who say the bridge was a moment of sincerity are probably the same kind of people that will use social media to wish someone who *does not* have a social media account a happy birthday. It's *clearly* for the person who wrote it to get attention.
Who's picking these!? There are so many better songs. Honestly you should check out one of his first raps "Bo Yo" is fire considering he was like 16 when he did it.

Gotta do “Repeat Stuff” music video, “I’m Bo Yo” and “From God’s Perspective”
6:30 good on you for not sleeping, man! A lot of ppl miss this. I'm sorry to hear you lost a parent.

Should give Stephen Lynch a try. I recommend Talk to me, No Meat, Tennessee and Craig

Mo Bo!

That middle part where she's talking to her deceased mother often makes me cry.
Gotta do "words words words" where he actually raps.
Rant is better tbh
@Ywipm thanks for your opinion. I wasn't really taking a poll though
One point he's making with this song is that you shouldn't be so quick to judge. You might think someone is foolish or shallow, but you don't know anything of what they might have gone through. Yes, the Kanye Rant is brilliant. And terrifying
More Bo yo
Definitely do The Chicken next. Also 5 years and that funny feeling are great songs as well. Can’t go wrong with Burnham, he definitely got me through the pandemic with his music.
"That funny feeling" is proabably my favorite from Bo!
The chicken is the best
You have to do All Eyes On Me. You will be blown away

You should react to some of his earlier stuff too. From God's perspective, is one of my favorites
Bo is the goat
Do the chicken next. It's great

Please do his country song parody. I think it's called Pandering, but it's on here as just "Bo Burnham's Country Song" I think
Luckily, this one is more deep than funny
And you haven't even heard him rap yet
😂😂😂😂😅

The inside and inside outtakes are definitely his best songs. Bo yo is okay but he’s made so many songs that are 10x better than that.
You need to fix the title so people can find the video
