The memories!! Was in high school when I used to read this manga.. Instantly fell in love with this track when I saw the anime, and I had been playing Cyberpunk at the time, with a friend, and teacher. This track inspired a comic, which was cyberpunk themed of course.. I had called it "Shura" at the time.. I had loved the way the Kanji looked, thought it was so beautiful.. But it, it fit so well with each character's personal story, especially the main character who is sold by his parents.. They are immigrants from Russia, and viewed their elder son as a troublemaker (which he was).. But had gotten into that world, to try to help his family out (a bad street kid lol)..His parents, and younger brother, are given a better life, when the head of a military corporation buys him. I am thinking about updating/redoing the comic, and if it were ever to be translated into a video game.. It would be an action RPG.
I love this song. the vibe to me is about looking to the future with anticipation, uncertainty and wonderment at the unbelievable things technology can offer. AD Police (and BGC too) have quasi-police state theming--the way the end of the AD Police opening ends, with the (pretty incredible) outro gives me a feeling of, if the end is gonna go down, let's bring it on.
I'm just glad when they stole from Cyber City Oedo 808 they created another great film with basically the same characters and environment: Ghost in the Shell (1995).
Funny enough the skip with the countless mp3 soundtrack downloads is due to them being ripped of a bootleg. The original japanese release of the soundtrack has no sound issue, if anyones interested you can get all 3 soundtracks for A.D. Police on the ffshrine forums in FLAC. If the links don't work just post about it and someone, maybe even me will reup them. :)
Is there anyway I can get a transfer from night City, trying to get out the ncpd because it's super corrupt wouldn't mind working with the A.D.police though I heard they're good

I wish BGC would come back as the original timeline. I know it won’t but if they ever did bring it back it would definitely be some shit job remake. The thing I enjoy about blade runner 2049 is that they tried to show the progression of the world naturally 30 years later since it was roughly around the same time passed since the original came out, which ended up really well. Would be nice if they could do that with BGC. Shows us the knight sabers 20 years later or something when they’re in their 40’s and how their worlds advanced since we last saw them back in the late 80’s and early 90’s of anime.

I do not know of any other anime tracks off the top of my head, but I do know of similar songs. Look up Lazerhawk, Perturbator, and Mega Drive. They do the whole 80's synth pretty well.
